George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

Try to come up with something specific for SuperNoory
based on Superman's "Look up in the sky, its a bird, its a plane, no its Superman"  ;D

Just have a conversation, follow up.  When it is time for another subject, THEN go to the next question

I have come up with a hypothetical exchange below which I hope illustrates this frustration many of us have:

Guest:  "I have secret knowledge of the exact location of Atlantis." ... dramatic pause ....

Obvious follow-up response:  "What?  Really?  Where is it, and how did you come by this information???"

Responses more likely to actually happen ...

#1:  (whatever question is next on the canned list, whether it relates to current topic or not)
#2:  "What's your most fascinating (fill-in-the-blank)?"
#3:  "What's next for you?"
#4:  "Where can people get your book?"
#5:  "Ok next caller"

"Look, up in the sky!  It's a portal, it's an angel, it's a mean baby, no it's SUPERNOORY!"

Agree with Zeebo.  There's a sense of disconnect in a lot of your interviews.

Perhaps you do it so your guests won't feel threatened and others will feel free to say what they want to.  Perhaps you're just trying to stick too closely to a format.  But it doesn't make the interview as stimulating as it might otherwise be.

Hello Mr. Noory :). It is very nice to see you here and I think you have a great sense of humor.  You also seem very nice and I personally don't care why you came here to post but I'm glad you did.  If I were to give you my personal thoughts on this forum, I would say, no one is under obligation to do anything others think they should.  I know you work very hard and that your job is not an easy one.  Like lots of situations in life you can not please everyone.  I think all you should concern yourself with is pleasing you.  There are people over the last decade, a long time, who never heard of Art Bell and if you and Coast have won them over I doubt they will stop listening.

Personally, I have listened to Art for a long enough time to have missed him and welcome him back but I don't think my choosing one show over another should be of a concern for you.  It's hard to befriend people who already have their minds set.  I don't think it's your job to win them over.

Just enjoy your job and your family because life is short and I think Mr. Bell would agree.   ;)

Yeah George. Please yourself not the premier suits. Show was a lot better in St. Louis!

They are playing the SuperNoory theme song right now... :D

HECK YEAH!

That's what I'm talking about.

SUPERNOORY!

NoMoreNoory

'The thing that struck me, Larry, reading your book, was the pictures'

Hey Jeorge....
Would you be willing to do a celebrity boxing match with Art or any member of this forum of your choice on pay per view?

Love the guest!  Great story of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel.

popple

I've been MIA for the past few days. Did Jorchie show up for the 1000 page celebration? What page should I return to?

Q: For Noory-San

In your opinion what are the classic C2C shows you hosted? :o

George has this interview nailed. You can tell he's done research, knows about the guest, knows the subject matter. He is also super engaged and enthusastic.

Too bad the one subject dave can interview someone on is comic books. I mean I'm actually enjoying it but how many comic book shows can c2c have?

Lol hilarious Dave's best interview would be on comics !

SnapT

YES!  WAY TO GO, SUPERNOORY!  I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!

Wtf I'm actually enjoying c2c with noory as the host.

George Drooly

Noory, you are a peculiar individual.

Please ask the guest to discuss the evolution of Superman's hairstyles over the years, including his unfortunate adoption of a mullet in the 1990s.

Thanks

It's pretty awesome dave is interacting with us.

SnapT

Please talk about the DEATH OF SUPERMAN issue that sold over 3 million copies and sparked the biggest comic book sales boom in modern history!

Has he played the Superman Song by The Crash Test Dummies yet?  Or Superman by R.E.M.?

I know it's probably too late to put new songs into the rotation but those are the touches that make a show.

I haven't been able to listen to much.

SUNSHINE SUPERMAN!  Great music selections tonight.

Loving the second half of this episode, best Noory interview in years.

Quote from: NoMoreNoory on August 13, 2013, 11:19:45 PMAnd is back again tonight. MV said he sent a seven digit number to george@coasttocoastam.com and asked George to return it, which he did. But I, and I'm sure many others too, have been told in replies that emails sent to that address are not read by George. It seems to me it would be easy for anyone on the program to return the email, so I can't see it as proof positive at all.

You are, of course, completely correct. Nearly anything can be spoofed, or others answering email/posting. There is, however, one FOOLPROOF method, and I already have the site setup and ready to go.

No one can spoof George's voice - and I have a chat site ready to go that is easy-as-pie use... many people can be online at once, no registration is required; you can login as a guest, or give yourself a screenname.

But anyone can also use voice chat or video chat (multiple users) - and we all know George's computer has both a microphone and webcam (either would do).

So tomorrow night, I'll ask George to come into the chat-room, and SPEAK to us. I'll post the link once he accepts. There is also real-time "typing" chat, so others can ask questions. This will be proof-positive of the identity.

Overboard. Get over it. It's george.

Remember when Superman was split into two electricity-based versions, one RED and one BLUE?  That was nutty...
