Looks like the thread is slowing down for a bit. Hey all, don't mean to go off topic, but I made this earlier, it's got a copyright notice, and probably won't be up long. Give it a watch so I don't feel like I've completely wasted an hour.

I love your work with these, well done

This is the reason I suggested Tim Binnall as a guest host.

He's already doing it.

I don't have to hate someone to know they are awful at their job. I wouldn't be listening to Art Bell shows that are over a decade old if Noory was a competent replacement. He didn't need to be as good as Art, just competent. He's terrible.

The timing of Noory's appearance on BellGab?  Well, I don't believe in coincidences. Shocking how it is coming as Art turns the lights back on.  If you don't think the two shows are directly competing, you are just being silly.

Excellent, coaster!   Not a wasted minute in that hour.

you should parlay that into george coming over and babysitting your animals for a few hours or something.  there's probably grass to be mowed and dishes that also need cleaning.  you hold leverage in your hands.
Absholutely not!  Even if he asks me....haw...haw....haw

I scarcely have a horse in this race because I gave up on coast about 5 years ago apart from those shows hosted by the exemplary George Knapp, but I would just like to say that you took something I loved and ran it into the ground like a crashed ufo. While I can't say that it affected my life in a fundamental way, I do have very fond memories of many late nights with Art and the palpable atmosphere of wonder and excitement the show created. All that is gone from coast. It's dull; it's prosaic; it's lackadaisical; it's annoying... and really, it's just stupid. I think George is inept at best and at worst, totally disingenuous. And that's just in a professional capacity; I won't go into personality.

I vaguely recall not being so exasperated with George, so maybe he is capable of better, but Coast is dead as far as I'm concerned. Eagerly awaiting the return of Art.

Art, you are a badass. George... I'm a very laidback, non-confrontational person, but you really do suck.

One time I heard you ask Whitley (I think it was him) if he ever listened to replays of his shows, and he said no.  You then chimed in that you didn't either and said something about not wanting to hear all the mistakes, etc.

I strongly urge you to listen to your shows the next day.  Hear what we hear.  Painful sure, going through it again probably very dull.  You don't really need us, just listen to your own show the next day.  Focus on it, no multitasking.

Most of the problems are not necessarily things a casual listener will pick up on until they listen closely over several shows - that's when poor technique really starts to stand out (anyone can miss the obvious follow up question once in awhile, or change the subject before something interesting has run it's course sometimes, etc - it takes awhile to realize on your show it's all the time).

Listen to the replays with your full attention for 3 or 4 weeks, then come back and you tell us.

PS, a long as we are suggesting members of your staff be given guest hosting slots, I'd like to hear Tommy host a show.  He has a good voice and has been in the business a long time.  Why not.

It's called airchecking, and it clearly doesn't happen as often as it needs to.

man, that's the truth.  it was true when i worked in terrestrial radio doing news and hosting a morning show, and it's true with my shitty podcast that nobody listens to.  you have to take a dose of your own medicine.  i've caught myself over the years leaning on countless verbal crutches and eliminated them where possible.  the problem is, my suckery is an evolving entity, so there's always new crappy stuff i'm doing that i need to hear as a listener.  it makes me better (although our listener stats don't seem to suggest anything is improving).

I considered blocking the user Gnoory after his first post due to that god-awful avatar.

I still might.

Jumping Jesuz , at least BlackHole has finally passed out.  I've been on this thread awhile and have never seen a bigger bore and a more bitter zero.  Get a grip.  This is not all about you.
Art, thank you for coming back. I will be cancelling stream link for my brand new Sirius xm  subscription post haste.  Sorry George, but too little too late.

The shows premier at 2 different times. Also satelight radio gets no where near the listeners as free radio. People fail to take into account most listeners are casual radio consumers and not the rabid bell fans who populate this page

holy shit this forum is amazing.

What i've witnessed happen over the last several years here has been truly astounding.  I found this website years ago because I was looking for a 'vintage Art Bell' stream.  I joined in because everyone was commiserating and dissecting Art's unannounced retirement.  C2C had become stale for many of us.  Art himself joined the forum, and fast forward to now where we have Art returning to some form of radio (which only the loons expected) and George himself now posts in the GNS thread.  Un fucking real.

I can't keep up with it all.
No kidding.  So many new users, it is hard to find the old timers in the crowd.  Good to see you again - are you posting less, or have I just not been in the same threads as you?

Mouth on floor. I saw MV's tweet. I didn't believe it at first. But Dear God it is true. I only leave you with this. A class act doesn't wait this long to engage. And I am not buying the 10 to 1 ratio. Not in a million years. Long live Art, and while I can't listen to him live, if Sirius offers a podcast I am there. I have listened to Art since 1996. As Jazmunda said early, I am going back to my first love. Lmao...fitting. Class is treating fans with respect. I know, because several other people do it. :) No excuses. None.

I agree. If it's really 10 to 1, why is he worried about us? I don't really think he cares what we think of him, I also don't think he's doing this to amuse himself.

He keeps saying he wants constructive criticism but isn't actually addressing much of what we say. Something is amiss and I'd love to know why he's really here.

I'd also love to have the willpower to stay way from this thread long enough to get some work done. My mud hut needs a new roof.

Posting less.  Less time with a baby on the way, and I'm working more.  And frankly, I'm a lazy forum user who only used the "recent posts" links on the bottom of the front page to use the forum.  Once that disappeared, it really handicapped me.  I don't have time to go searching for where the action is.

I've always been struck by the quantities of liquids getting spilt, snorted and generally spat out in response to the posts here. Coffee in the morning, liquor at night ;)

Nearly time for our new BFF and the new, improved, mush-mouth and Nooryism-free show.

Not.

Outstanding Coaster. Thank you for creating a masterpiece. Absolutely the best. I hope everyone takes a look.
The humor on this site is unmatched.

To the people saying noory hasn't responded to us, he's been on here 1 day. Hope bellgab or coastgab gets a shout out Friday again
