George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

"Linda, let me ask you something . . . would you let me into your cow pants if I gave you ten thousand dollars? Think about it until your next 'Coast-to-Coast AM with George Noory' appearance . . . we may need to re-schedule you for a 2019 appearance if your answer is 'no.'  Anyways, like I said . . . just think about it . . . let me know tonight."

A living legacy.  Can I throw up now?

Both of them, but that didn't stop Jorch for taking credit.

Linda, I am no psychiatrist, but my understanding is that if something is red-shifted it is moving away, blue-shifted moving closer.  Your host should have been able to steer you into whichever direction you were heading with that...

Alas, the host sucks...

You got that right.

Presidents aren't supposed to salute.  They're civilians.

The fact that they didn't salute -- before Reagan's time -- demonstrated that a civilian is in charge of the military of the United States and not the other way around.

President Eisenhower was a retired FIVE-STAR Army general who led the D-Day invasion and knew not to salute.

Reagan started saluting because he liked doing it in the movies.

His PR toads thought it looked snappy and great, so now they all have to do it -- or else they face severe criticism.

Well, personally speaking, I happen to like it.  To each his own.

Twilight Zone mention. I think Jorch tries to tie in everything to that damn show.

I feel like I am on the Art Bell thread with music problems.  Using a proxy (from who knows where today...) I get the error message on this video.

"Unfortunately this video is not available in your country because it could contain music from UMG, for which we could not agree on conditions of use with GEMA."

Oh well, I could always route my VPN from (Sweden?) through another from the US...  Can you imagine Art putting up a broadcast on youtube and it not being available anywhere because nobody could agree on who owns what rights in which country when it comes to the bumpers?

Yeah . . . I do too.

It's a fitting symbol of the military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned us all about as he left office.

...and saluting out of uniform, and without a cap!  Where's a drill sergeant when you need one?

Jorch is making his Grass Roots "Midnight Confession" for Linda at 1:34 am Pacific Time.

Yeah, he's slow.

We really need a music thread that a lot of people go to.  Lots of great music being posted. A suggestion before things get carried away with the music and I'm as guilty as anyone.  Let's limit it to songs to those pertaining to the suckage of George or have something to do with the daily broadcast.

How times have changed.  It seems like only yesterday it was 1980.

Oh, wait.  That was yesterday.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.  After the Noorlenium things should pretty much get back to normal.
