That's a lot of police.
They were expecting a lot more protesters.  So were the protesters.

So seeing people flying the Mexican flag has what effect on you? It makes you angry. And that anger makes you more willing to support Trump. Think about how that process works internally and ask yourself if voting angry is in your self-interest or the country's -- as opposed to voting smart.

Segundus is correct in that many people have what is, in effect, a knee-jerk political response to things they see and hear. You might, on the other hand, be in that group of people that gets to choose whether you fall into this emotional trap or, instead, decide to maintain your intellectual discipline and act rationally in this election. Many Trump supporters don't have a real choice, being who they are.

Worth thinking about, for someone who seems to have a better brain than Trump.

It is not just the flying of the Mexican flag.  It's just a symptom of a far more widespread problem involving both illegal immigrants and corporations too.  I for one would punish corporations who hire illegals.  I don't blame the illegals for wanting to come to a better country and make a better living.  If I was in their situation, I might do the same.  However I do have a problem with illegals who come here for a better life and then, in turn, want to change this country to the shithole that they have just left.

OIC. The WSJ said about 100 protesters. The cover story also had an interesting photo of one police takedown of a protester.... some clown.  ;)

I understand that the flag is just symbolic of the problem you're concerned about. I'm concerned about it, too. And like virtually everyone else, I think a workable solution that's consistent with our laws (including IMO some new laws governing the hiring of illegal workers) and traditional American values is long overdue.

But this notion that just because Trump has been (for less than a year) complaining about the problem and making promises, he should be elected POTUS, is ridiculous. The guy knows how to push people's buttons, particularly the "poorly educated" who he loves for their gullibility.

Smarter, better-informed people ought to know when someone is trying to scam them, whether it's a Nigerian phone scam or a guy in nice suits on TV. I'm just saying not to buy the snake oil, no matter how attractive it may appear to be -- or how unpleasant a Clinton presidency could be. At least, don't try to pretend that Trump can be in any way trusted.

Liz Warren is claiming to be Indigenous.  She is not, and he is calling her on it.  Your "oven" comment is way out of line! >:(
I remember some report that said many Americans were, individually, a melting pot of races and a person could claim to be whatever they identified as.

Most European countries have politcal party reform in financing, some even quotas for women, and many political parties. Hows it worming out for them? See the second youtube or look at their illegal immigration problems and economy.
When a person needs to raise all that money to keep his job he's not going to be unbiased in evaluating situations.

I`m more worried about that lead cop`s healthcare that the taxpayer is responsible for paying. Too many burgers and fries may not be conducive to  running down the street with all that gear and fat hanging on him.

If he called Warren "Pocahantas", can the ovens be far behind?

Warren issued an epic take-down of the Trumpster, though. #Brutal

Right,  I am skeptical about Trump with regards to the border and deporting illegals.  I'll believe it when I see it.  In my eyes, he used it as the issue to catapult him into the campaign and once he gets into the office, he may implement some policy changes but not the changes that he has promised.

He`s a pathological liar. How can anybody believe a thing he says? I guarantee he won`t do anything he says he`ll do.

Hillary is going to need a bigger pantsuit.
Given that Trump is her competition, she may also want to demand that it be flame retardant and that she be issued a crash helmet. ;)

Did you guys see Trump is debating Sanders on June 7th?

Interesting.  I wonder if he will be a little more... Diplomatic and respectful than he would be if it were Clinton?

so, in a child like fashion, you incessantly, perpetually prattle on about the "vacuous" donald trump, yet you assign the word "epic" to a pocahontas warren pep rally?  well, godspeed, sugar.  i think it's absolutely fabulous that the trump candidacy has alienated the likes of you.  thrilled.  if we're lucky, it'll be a long term alienation spelling the end of george bush dinosaur republicanism and the chaos it spreads.

Trump has been pretty respectful towards Bernie aside from labeling him as crazy. This is a pretty ballsy move from Trump. From Bernie's perspective, he's got nothing to lose and this could be a brilliant Hail Mary for him. From Trump's perspective he's thinking he needs to stomp Bernie out now before the e-mail scandal takes Hillary out but this could really boomerang on him badly if he doesn't decisive own the commie. Really interesting moves for both men.

Trump mentioned it on Kimmel tonight. He wants the proceeds to go to charity.

And the internet came.

Oh..you again lol.

Rumor Mill is hot tonight.

Hillary is getting indicted in four weeks to six weeks to take her out of the race before the general.
Apparently there's more scandals waiting to surface than just the e-mail thing.
MSM is trying to keep it quiet but expect story to break when a press conference on it is scheduled.
DNC detests Bernie and his socialist bullshit.
Going to tap Biden once Hillary goes down.

QuoteHillary Clinton will be indicted before the Democratic convention to prevent an abysmal loss in the General.

Rumors have started to leak from the white house that Obama WILL NOT pardon her, and that the nomination will be given to an outside candidate. That means they will not go with Bernie after Hillary's campaign is destroyed.

But, this is bad news for Trump as the candidate they are most inclined to pick will be good ol Joe Biden, as Obama feels like he will carry on the same kind of administration.

This is not a fucking joke. Hillary is fucked, and Trump is in trouble because Biden is seen as a "good guy" and that will be hard for Trump to play against. The only thing good that would come of this is the Sanders supporters going ape shit because their candidate will basically be tossed aside.

Get ready for a major cluster fuck.

I would pay to see it- but I cannot imagine that it will ever happen.

Now a Sanders / trump election would be REALLY interesting with both sides running a candidate that a minimum of 70% of the general population (and 50% of the party) detests.

i have always believed hillary's going to be indicted.  it's coming.  however, i don't buy this idea that biden will be "inserted" into the nomination.  not going to happen.  sanders will absolutely be the nominee when she's squashed.

as did chunk ooger from the young turks:

Quote
If [FBI director] James Comey is actually a partisan Republican, and that's a big if, I don't know. And he wanted to do maximum damage to the Democrats. You know when he would announce the indictment? The last day of the Democratic convention.

Oof. So instead of getting the bounce from the convention... You wuld get hit with an indictment... Gigantically bad news taking the wind out of you. At this point, if you think that is not possible, either you are grossly ignorant, or you are lying...

As I mentioned many European countries have 'reformed' the political funding process, also often have more than 2 parties, some have quotas for women, have various methods of apportionment, vast human rights protection, coalition building to keep 'radical right' out of office, EU, European Court of Human Rights, etc. It seems to be solving the rapeugee and economic situation very well, hasn't it?

Interesting... I'm wondering how this works in a democracy?  If enough people vote for the radical right (Austria- almost) would they not still get in?  The multi-party system may have the consequence of making it more likely to be centrist- but there are not laws stating that you cannot vote right or keeping them out, that I am aware of.
