Um, that's one newspaper. After Drumpf refused to answer questions from Bob Woodward on MSNBC, subsequently sending Woodward into a fit of frustration, I'm convinced that the crotchety old journalist is rounding up his old posse of muckrakers to crawl directly up Donald Trump's 6. It should be interesting.

Crotchety in the presence of Trump maybe, but Woodward is not a muckraker. And he is genuinely disturbed by Trump's personal brand of evasiveness and stonewalling, as he should be.

The guy who successfully took on the Nixon White House and re-election campaign is just the guy I want to see asking questions about Trump. What he finds probably won't be enough to dissuade hardcore Trump supporters but most other people should be more open-minded.

I like Woodward; always have. He`s a leftie, but at least he generally makes some effort to be fair, which is more than most.

Again, trump doesn`t know what the hell he`s talking about, so he just filibusters to get through the segment. We give a few dollars to Mexico which they desperately need, and which pays dividends to us in the long run.

It's just driving more voters to Trump...The left thinks these comments are offensive, but the reality is that they are not...Trump then goes on the news/talk shows and counters each of them, which no other politicians had the guts to do before...that is why he is so popular...he fights for his point of view and doesn't apologize for it...

What's funny is this moron launched this but immediately got blasted because women in her foundation earn 38% less than men while Trump is right down the middle and has several women in key position in his organization.

This lady is stupid as hell. How in the fuck did she get away with running a cocaine business and suppressing rape victims if she is this incompetent?

...So fuck Muslims Hillary?

Juan

We won't have to worry about automation for long.  With millions of young Chinese men and almost no young Chinese women, that country will soon develop well working sex robots.  Soon there will be no need for meat women who can't cook, won't clean, who become feminist nags, and who complain about men watching football on TV.  The human race will die out.

Huma? Maybe, though I don't know if that term is used for the liaisons of the Lesbos variety.

Fuck these people.

I'd be more than happy to hire my own mercenaries and go tear assing through the country asserting my trade and empire but I'm guessing you'd cry about that too. These progressive pigs, I don't think I hate any group of people more than them. Now this pig thinks she's my partner and owns a piece of me? The fucking mafia has better terms than the Democrats.

Using Chief All Talk No Action's logic, why can't I walk into her living room and take her TV? It's not like she earned it or worked for it. Everything was already in place for her to have it.

Trump picked the perfect target to expose the idiocy of progressives. This woman drives me insane. I haven't heard one intelligent thing from her yet.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Please. Free trade is what has grown the economy of this country into the   global power it is today.

LOL. Yeah, you seem to be stuck in 1985. This is the worst I've ever seen the US economy. Economically speaking, the record poor numbers in the velocity of money metric is plenty enough to tell you that there is a very severe problem with our economy. But past that stagnant wages, the fact that few households can exist anymore without two incomes (soon to be 3, then 4), unnaturally high unemployment numbers that are officially cooked by the government to look better, company after company relocating outside the country without repercussions, military cuts, lack of sensible diplomacy and a ton of other things indicates -- actually it screams -- that we are a declining country both economically and as a global power.

The way forward is technology, energy, CLEAN energy -- the one thing I found common ground with Obama.

Clean energy is quietly being solved by Lockheed-Martin rather than the solar panel/wind farm/kelp racket. It's not something to be concerned about. The national debate regarding it is just a dog and pony show.

If protectionist policies are so effective, why did Hong Kong become so wealthy by being a total free trade zone?

Because it was in the enviable position of being able to take advantage of a very poor nation that took it over while remaining generally independent of it to the point of having a separate system of government as a legacy of having been a colony of one of the richest empires on earth. Right time, right place.

start this trumpian nonsense about penalizing everybody, guess what happens?

Actually, it's not Trumpian. It's Hamiltonian.

The manufacturers that we do have,  can't get the parts they need. The raw materials they need. The prices go up. People start buying less products. We are a consumer-driven economy and you know what that means. We go down the tank. Not only that, foreign manufacturers do not want to do business with us. They won't move their plants over here. It's too unstable, they won't trust our economy, our leaders and our political system anymore. The dollar becomes unstable. People start buying yen and yuan and whatever the hell foreign currency instead of dollars. Next thing you know, we're not the world's Reserve currency. And if that happens, things get truly ugly.

What really happens is that from this point on factories in China and foreign nations, and ours, move increasingly to automation because it's cheaper than human labor. Real unemployment numbers continue to rise and ultimately the market begins to contract, which it already has in many sectors, because fewer people have disposable income. The only solution from here on out is domestic protectionism and regulation to forestall the effects of automation as long as we can. Yes, goods will get more expensive. Yes, the economy will contract. But that's better than putting everyone on welfare which is what we're doing now.

The dollar is doomed no matter what. It never had any business being a reserve currency in the first place, and it's been poised to lose that status for years. It's only a matter of time before the reserve currency ponzy scheme finally collapses.

Granted I'm "half-empty" type but couldn't this development mean the "good" side? With new technology a no war, no work (for sake of work or "dangerous" work, etc type of society? The "ideal" or, as in thr old days new tech just means more ways to fight? Or worse (since fighting implies, at least, some, individualism ?)

It does, eventually. But the pains of demolishing the old system and building whatever new economy results will be globally painful. The fact is, our economic system is going obsolete.

That argument by liberals was lame, but Warren's no Clinton.  I respect her.  Besides, your mercs would turn on you when their paychecks bounced in a few weeks.

I'd steal an idea from the Democrats and import refugees and illegals to be my army. They work cheap. Besides, I realize what Trump realizes. Treat your people good and they'll treat you good.

Oh shit, who cares about Cruz.  Donald Trump is far, far more entertaining. Did you listen to that phone call?? I mean, that shit still has me laughin'! And then he goes on CNN and says it's not him. He never did that and it doesn't even sound like him. Hahahahaha OMG.... I can't wait to see what SNL does with this.

That's not the point.  I've seen blacks promoted to jobs that they cannot handle well, just to meet a quota, but I've also found, in the same company, blacks held back even though their performance excelled and lousy performers promoted instead.

The same happens to women.  Some women do a great job with no appreciation.  Women, at least of a certain era, were not reared to speak up for themselves and to demand what they are worth.

We are already having protests and deaths over water.  The world has too many people, especially for the systems that we have in place of government and economics.  It is a good thing to discourage births.

So because some women weren't confident enough to ask for what they thought they were worth in a bygone era, I should vote for Hillary Clinton?

I adore Elizabeth Warren.  She makes sense.  We are a community effort.  I think if there were less corruption in the system we'd all trust it more.

Take Trump, though.  He said he'd lower them on the rich.  Now he says he'll have to raise taxes on the rich.  So, if that's your gripe, you're screwed no matter how you vote.

How can you trust Warren? She won't take a DNA test to prove she is native American? She used that status for acceptance and financial aid in college.
