Richard Noone reminds me of a guy Art had on a few times in the months leading up to Y2K who had sold everything and was moving his family to a cave on some isolated land he'd bought in someplace like Montana.  I can't remember his name, but occasionally wonder how that wild miscalculation worked out for him.  Does that ring a bell?

I listened to Art a lot in that period, and that guest does ring a ~Bell.~  But I do not remember a name.

I will take a stab at what happened to him, though. After relocating to the safety of the cave from an imaginary danger, he and his family disturbed a normally hidden doorway between the inner earth and the surface; because of that, the family was abducted by the all too real Detrimental Robots. 

The humans experienced firsthand the reality of Richard Shaver's dire warnings.

Sometimes, out on the beach, when I'm running a good joint on the MIG, a vibration full of information comes through the helmet and ... well, it's not pleasant.

As a wayward youth I spent some years working in a solvent/precipitation plant where industrial volumes of copper were "extracted" from mineral heavy water. I have also seen the same process used in small-scale operations by prospectors precipitating gold, silver, and platinum from particularly rich hot-spring waters.

I'm all for pranks and practical jokes but keep it funny, like old "Candid Camera" or "Just For Laughs." The pranks "faking" people getting shot or some evil clown attacking and dismembering a person is going to get the pranksters shot by a policeman, or just a person, sometime soon if they keep at it.
