Yeah, though it would be necessary for all parties involved to partake. Otherwise our negotiators might give up all our NATO bases or something for some munchies.

I don't smoke it but have and lived in countries where it was legal and, didn't even smoke then except on rare occasion. And the rates of smoking it were lower than here! But in seriousness it should be legal (I would go further and decriminalize 'personal possession' for all substances and treat the problem, when it happens, as a personal/medical/mental one and only 'go after' cartels and the violent dealers.) And eliminate the incentive for abuses by government with the asset forfeiture laws. The only fights or violence I've seen with weed was either due to its illegality (so one might have to do business with criminals or venture into bad neighborhoods) or it was used but other drugs and alcohol were more of the factor. Frankly I'm more worried about the self-made "meth" and all of these synthetic drugs pumped out from China containing who-knows-what than other currently illegal drugs, especially pot, that, at least, medicine/police understand the effects, how to counter, save people, etc. (Or in weed's case doesn't have many, at least acute, life-threatening side-effects.) Kids taking "who knows" synthetic "weed" because pot is illegal? Crazy.
