This is Monday's guest, Dr. Philip Lubin. He's the guy with the idea and roadmap being backed by Yuri Milner with blessings of Stephen Hawking for the Breakthrough Starshot Initiative to send probes to Alpha Centauri and beyond. His research could see overnight deliveries made to Mars, and see manned trips reduced from 6 months down to a month.

If they were here and wanted to do us harm, we would be gone already. If they just wanted to study us, we would never know they were here. If they just wanted to stick probes up our butts, they would then exclusively visit Berlin, Rio or San Francisco.

Seems their technology would discover us before anything we did ever reached them first...IMO anyway...

I think from the alien perspective it's about the build up of tension and then relief. They're big fans of The Story of O and I understand that 50 Shades is growing in popularity with them too.
