It took you seven hours and that's the best you could come up with? Guess you had to make a few trips to the urgent care to treat your hemorrhaging thesaurus-paper-cut fingers. Odd -- seems your fingertips should be as calloused as your knees by now. Next trip to urgent care see if they can get your head out of your ass.

EDIT: Again -- I know you think I should be flattered by your constant attention ... but just stop it -- it's gone way beyond creepy you a repulsive half-wit. Go find some guy in your loser country to diddle with -- maybe one that has an intellect closer to your room-temperature IQ.

I love how you are convinced they spent 7 hours formulating a reply to you
:-* cute.

2nights show is going to be fun. Mr. Friedman doesn't say "Ummm" or "Uhhh" every other word, so it should make for an easy listen. hope they take a lot of calls!
Ummm   Uhhhh  .....  Ummm   +1      Uhhh

the guest last night reminded me a bit of my godfathers wife. she has this really annoying nervous laugh that could almost go unnoticed until someone points it out. That and Nancy Birnes lol

My tune in keeps dropping. No big loss, I take it.  Better work for Hoaxie, though

The pop-up player at http://darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/ gives me the most stable connection, and there are no ads either.

I like Stanton Friedman. I doubt he has anything new to say, but he knows how to keep things interesting.

Stanton.  The Man.  Nice!  We just mentioned him the other day too.  Xcellent.

I doubt that he's done any new research lately, but the guy has so much knowledge that any given tangent has a good chance of touching on some fresh meat.

This will be fun (because Stanton Friedman is always fun), and it will also be interesting to hear Heather interviewing an experienced guest.  It's been hard to get a read on how much of the odd pacing and such was due to the novice guests she's had.  I expect she'll have much more fun working with a man who knows when to stop talking at a break, and when not to interrupt the host and callers.

I'm sorry but I'm not nearly as delicious.  But I'm probably just as bad for your health, so there's that.

Agreed! This one has potential...but only if Heather digs a little deeper this time. Last night's show wasn't bad.

OK...I would like to give Heather another chance ( didn't like her first and second show so I haven't listened since.

I am still a TT for another few weeks to help support Keith, however most likely I will unsubscribe from MITD, when what I have been billed for is done. I will keep my OSOM subscription, because I really enjoy RCH....and that was a huge surprise to me as I really didn't dig him much when he was a guest on other talk radio.

So, if there was one show of Heather's on MITD that I should listen to, to change my mind and give her a chance, which one would it be?

honestly i can not see how you are entertained by RCH...a guy that had 4 replays in one week and has the same guests on...very often and insults the listeners lol and believe he should have Art's spot and takes shots at him

I had trouble following what was going on last night because I was pretty busy, but I got the impression that the guest was kinda snarky (though to be fair, when evaluating public policies in the US, it's hard not to be).

The nice thing about Stanton is that he enjoys talking about the core points anyway, so he doesn't need to be prodded and met with skepticism like many of the recent guests who suffer from critical thinking disabilities.  He's a true scientist - he checks his own facts.  She can just point him in pretty much any direction and he'll have some good material to share, probably with some hilarious witticism thrown in for a chuckle.

This is one of the few people in the field who give such good interviews that I go back and listen at least once or twice to pick up little details to look into afterward - last time I heard him got me looking into magnetoaerodynamics, which really got me thinking about classified military projects.  Love this guy.

You don't have to.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

What I like most is his energy and he's all in when he's on....bs or not.

And at this point he probably should have a different spot. Art doesn't have one anymore...he quit but didn't retire...remember?

Tonight

Why? I have heard Stanton a gazillion times ( well not really , but you catch my drift)

Why would Heather interviewing Stanton be any better that what I have heard over the last 20 years?

If you are only going to give her one chance I recommend tonight because Stanton is an experienced guest and I think she will do well. The rest of the guests she has had have been so-so. If you NEED to pick an existing show, then I would recommend Monday night. The one about UFOs. I think she did a decent job even though the guest wasn't exactly my cup of tea.

depends..she sounded, save for the beginning reading of the news, much more..involved, less Lisa Garr last night..if she repeats that it should be ok...if she is back sounding like Garr not so much

Thanks GS...appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question.

I want to hear where Heather is a great new radio personality whom I want to listen to.

I don't want to hear a guest who basically carries the show. If I wanted that I can find many lectures Stanton has done to hear him.

What I want to hear is what Heather can do and so far from the 2 shows I listened to, I don't want to hear anymore...however I am still somewhat open before I make my final decision to cancel my TT subscription.

I just think the rest of the guests she has had on would have been hard for anyone to interview. By the end of the show last night the guests ummms and uhhhhs almost made it unbearable. I expected much better speaking skills from someone that is a NASA Fellow and a CEO of their own company.

It's a weirdly common affectation - a good friend of mine teaches university physics and he had no idea how often he said "umm" until he heard himself recorded.  Even that didn't really help though, because he still can't stop doing it and now it drives him crazy  ;D
