I agree.  She didn't make her point, but that's her problem.  What she did was bring up enough stuff to sustain interest.  Heather wasn't spectacular, but that's not her job; she asked the right things, which is her job.  And she still sounds sexy.

Art and Heather are two of our most Honored BellGab Members.  The treatment they are receiving, right now, is despicable.  This is why I haven't been around much.  Too many trolls, and too much whining.  I just can't understand why some folks are holding on, so tightly, to something that hurts them more than those they want to hurt?  They are treating "stupidity as though it were a virtue" (from Flight Of The Phoenix).

Let it go, and move on!

I agree with you 100% starrmtn001.  These last few weeks have been so disheartening for me with all of this.  I really hope that the forum can get back to some of its fun and respectful posts and comments, especially as we go into a New Year ...  Here's hoping that 2016 will bring joy and health to all reading this.
Blessings!

Sage words Starr. I got up, poured a cup of coffee and realized that I don't really care about the Art Bell thread if Art isn't going to post in it because otherwise it's just endless Dark Penguin trolling and Falkie thread bullshit.

The problem with what you're hoping for is that the glue that used to hold this place together -- the elusive dream of Art coming back to radio -- is rapidly disintegrating. If this place and this community is going to survive, it will need to be reinvented in some way. I don't think anyone yet has a clue about how this would happen, but I sincerely doubt that Heather will be the new tube of glue required.

Still, it's a good hope. I hope it works out.

I like Stanton Friedman. I doubt he has anything new to say, but he knows how to keep things interesting.

Heather is what's known as 'woman on radio'. She is not your friend. Despite numerous pathetic attempts to alert her to your existence, you are just another tiresome gnat.

It's like poetry. I'm starting to tear up a little here, and I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Disintegrated. The guy did it--he came back. On his terms. The way he insisted he wanted to. He won.

Then he tossed it aside like it was nothing. To him, it probably was--this is the same guy who thought Charles Faddis was an ideal go-to guest... twice. Bankruptcy and ignominy would be too good for him and his gang of obsequious, mewling sycophants.

I am embarrassed that I have ever spoken his name aloud to those I have considered my peers.

It's interesting that Art re-opened his Facebook page in the last week to attempt to support MiTD as-is. It's what he should have done.

The problem is:
1. The show isn't getting better.
2. Art posting that the show **requires** paying listeners for support.

#1 being pretty disappointing. I just don't see it continuing in it's current level of mild neglect.

#2 being a falsehood as mostother podcasters do not have paying listeners.

I'm pretty much done with the show. We might turn it on if we are working late, but casual listening is 100% over. I turned off my feed recorder as well because there is no sense in  listening to it the day after. Just not a good show.

Interesting use of 'Heather' and 'thrust' in the same sentence. It makes me wonder whether she isn't right to keep her identity secret after all, but I guess you are just trying to convince the world you are heterosexual again.

Let me give you a bit of a primer on this whole 'friend' business. I know it's easy to get confused when you tend not to see anybody who isn't on a screen, or your parole officer. Let me phrodoise it for you so you can understand better: Heather is what's known as 'woman on radio'. She is not your friend. Despite numerous pathetic attempts to alert her to your existence, you are just another tiresome gnat. She is a voice on the radio, she is not 'real'. The same thing goes for the voices in your head, by the way. Also, that thing you like to tell people is your 'girlfriend' is actually a defrosted chicken with a smiley face attached to it.

I know you are bound to resent me giving you this perfectly reasonable, and actually quite well-intentioned, advice. It's natural to bridle at first, just as you didn't like it the first time you were rammed from behind by a trucker, even though the five bucks he gave you afterwards came in handy. No, no, don't thank me! We must take this in baby steps. When you have begun to realise that you are an isolated shit sack of a human being we can start to rebuild what we will loosely call your 'personality'. After that the only way is up, and we can start to give you tutorials on stuff like basic hygiene and 'where babies come from'.

Don't give up, babe!  :)

It took you seven hours and that's the best you could come up with? Guess you had to make a few trips to the urgent care to treat your hemorrhaging thesaurus-paper-cut fingers. Odd -- seems your fingertips should be as calloused as your knees by now. Next trip to urgent care see if they can get your head out of your ass.

EDIT: Again -- I know you think I should be flattered by your constant attention ... but just stop it -- it's gone way beyond creepy you a repulsive half-wit. Go find some guy in your loser country to diddle with -- maybe one that has an intellect closer to your room-temperature IQ.

I like Stanton a lot too. Art's latest show with that flat Earth idiot was not very good though in my opinion. He'll likely be much better tonight.

Don't let me stop you using the handful of worn out tropes that have stood you in such bad stead in the past, you miserable little cock-holster. If you were even slightly amusing this would be fun, but your mother must have tried so hard to smother you at birth (and don't we all wish that excellent woman had succeeded!) that this handful of pebbly shit is all you can come up with, every fucking time!! The opinion of a certifiable moron is not of much use to me. But feel free to call me a faggot again, if that's the only thing that gets you even semi-tumescent.

Odd how you complain of any reference toward your obvious homosexuality -- but it's your go-to insult toward others. You seriously need some new material ... and professional help.

Grrrr, this is driving me nuts. Last nights show was pretty good, tonight has Stanton Friedman. Just when I'm convinced Heather sucks and is going to suicide her show, she turns around slightly. Yeah, I'll admit I'm hang around to see the train wreck, but she keeps saving it just when I think the wreck will occur. I always liked hearing Friedman in that Hoagy-and-moon-skyscrapers sort of way.

2nights show is going to be fun. Mr. Friedman doesn't say "Ummm" or "Uhhh" every other word, so it should make for an easy listen. hope they take a lot of calls!

Stanton is 81 yrs old and at that age it is hard to keep all the facts straight to keep on towing the party line.
The grandfather of misinformation. Such enthusiasm though, inspiring.

i just totally made up everything else I wrote after  ".. 81 yrs old"
