Central Arizona has Jerome, an almost exact twin of Bisbee right down to the precariously pitched old houses on hills, weirdo artists and miscreants, and an unusually high ghost population per capita. Old mining towns seem to be preferred ghost habitat. And I've noticed that the residents currently alive in these types of places (Virginia City, NV, Silver City, NM, Nevada City, CA) tend to drink a lot.

Jerome is an awesome town. We stopped there to party on a trip to Phoenix. Forget the name of the bar we went to, but it had been a brothel in the early 20th century. Definitely has a high ghost population. Very spooky. Then there was the guy who said he had "seen" that were destined to be together. Thankfully, I was not as drunk as he was or I may never have left Jerome.

 Where to begin?  I've heard about bellgab for years, just never got over here.   I came to peek after Art passed and MITD went on hiatus to find out what was going on with the show and for the last week i've been totally addicted to this thread! 
    I did not know Art had moved Heather into a shed, a cuckshed, in his compound.  Theres alot of things I didn't know but I 'promise' you all that I shall try to get up to speed.
    You all are brutal, but funny as hell.  I think i'll just get  my news & info from bellgab from now on.
     Question.  How long do you think it'll take for Heather to get tired of Paul and Ella sending her garbage.  I mean a DVD of their dying dog?   WTF.   When my dog died I was holding him in my arms telling him i loved him.  I didn't even think about pulling out the old phone and video streaming his death!

Welcome. I don't intend this to be sarcastic or mean, but Paul and Ella probably aren't too very much longer for this world and may not entirely have all their faculties. My grandparents don't half the time. I'd say she just says thank you and appreciates the sentiment, because love transcends mental faculties, uses anything that she finds useful, keeps anything she finds meaningful, and otherwise donates things (like, say, DVDs) to the Pahrump Goodwill or Savers, or maybe sends back something she thinks maybe they shouldn't have sent and gently explains herself in a note.

This is so effing evil. I think this might be over the line even for BellGab. Yeah, we can screw with the best of them, but to bring this horrible situation up for Good Dave is over the line. No one needs to be reminded of an act of such evil proportions. My heartfelt sympathies Good Dave.

Heather.... THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

He's really worked hard to make a connection. It is so difficult to "fill" an hour of radio just by yourself, but his personal intro on Monday was one heck of an effort. Dave has opened up about personal issues on past Coast appearances and been especially on point about mental health awareness.

Sad to say, but some of the MITD crowd may have felt abused by Art quitting and then Heather's instability. Dave is steadying the ship and reassuring us that everything will be OK.
