Of course there is always "exopolitics."  ;)

I've said it once and I'll say it again Good Dave's show with the reporter that got an inflammatory brain disease was one of the best, scariest C2Cs ever. Because it was true, everything documented, she felt herself "going crazy," and long-format so could get into details. I heard her on NPR and other mainstream "news" and the interviews were pretty poor. Because short, sound-bites, and no setting of mood. And what is more scary than loosing your mind but nobody knows why etc?

Gonna have to give it a listen. Interesting. Thnx

no need to geocitieize that site i suppose.

There's gonna be a shit storm in the desert over the use of the name nonetheless. At least telling them apart won't be too difficult.

Correct. If you are not into political talk, your goal is very clear...don't alienate listeners/customers.

Exactly. The moment a host gets into current politics they alienate half their audience.

I think your instinct is spot on. The quota is filled on political radio and content. Unless it has a weird or esoteric thing to it and I don’t mean that nwo stuff alex jones does but more of an alternative history take which requires political discussion, then it isn’t worth it and it’s not that appealing.

I don't think we disagree, but I'm sure there's plenty of "alternative history" to learn about Trump, and I don't think Dave should let haters stop him from anything he might want to talk to a guest about, even if its Trump. If Dave is truly not interested in it, then that is a different story, and of course he shouldn't have any shows about things he's not interested in.  I can't imagine losing half of ones listeners over a discussion some may hate once in a while.

I get the impression Dave is curious about everything.

I could be wrong.

If she does have a show and names it the same & time slot, that will get ugly pretty fast and I don't think she will like the outcome of it.

what defines who is a hater on this subject, and who does that? You’ll say the host but the hosts job is to give the listeners a great show with content they want and if half their audience is saying they don’t want what they’re getting then you’re fighting a losing battle over something that’s providing a minuscule amount of content (politics) to the overall brand.

I agree completely, if you are not a political show then stay far away from the topic. Half the audience will be turned off either way.

Reminds me of various former members of a 70s rock band who all claimed they had the rights to the band's name.  At one point there were three bands on tour using the same name, or some slight variation thereof.  I read about it while in the UK back ten years or so ago,  I think it was Sweet.
