what defines who is a hater on this subject, and who does that? You’ll say the host but the hosts job is to give the listeners a great show with content they want and if half their audience is saying they don’t want what they’re getting then you’re fighting a losing battle over something that’s providing a minuscule amount of content (politics) to the overall brand.

What makes you think that Dave wouldn't provide a great show about Trump, that even politics and Trump Haters would enjoy?  I think IF Dave is INTERESTED in it, and finds a guest he might want to talk to about it once every two years, then he shouldn't let fear of "haters" stop him. I'm not into shows about paranormal, but Spooky Tim and Dave make them fun for me to listen to.  It could be argued that a percentage of the bellgab audience might not want  paranormal, but we're listening because we enjoy Dave, and he makes it fun.

If Dave is NOT interested in these topics, then thats a different story.

Reminds me of various former members of a 70s rock band who all claimed they had the rights to the band's name.  At one point there were three bands on tour using the same name, or some slight variation thereof.  I read about it while in the UK back ten years or so ago,  I think it was Sweet.

I wonder if those doggies are wrapped like burritos. (Think back to the show with Jonathan Reed)

There’s a large gap between politics and paranormal is all I’m saying.

Exopolitics, ghosts of dead politicians, ghosts of women politicians had killed, secret societies and connections with political revolutions and politicians, black budgets, UFO cover-ups, Satanic politicians, politicians who use mediums or astrologers,.....

Jackstar would argue this point.

I don't mind politics in the broad sense, particularly as it relates to historical contexts, or general principles.  Like how about a show on the Russian Revolution which I know nothing about?  Or the influence of the Enlightenment on our Constitution?  Or how about what were Caesar and the Senate really up to back in the day?

What I cannot stomach is the typical current events stuff - yelling contests over controversies of the moment, obsessions with lurid scandals, tired old partisan talking points, blah blah blah.  It's everywhere all day long and and mostly of it is just about either causing outrage or confirming long-held biases.  Thankfully we have a Politics thread where the bulk of that froth can be contained.  Should I say it?  Ok what the hell, yeah praise MV.

If she does have a show and names it the same & time slot, that will get ugly pretty fast and I don't think she will like the outcome of it.

We might even get a decent public meltdown out of it *wrings hands*

Art was not all paranormal.

If Dave has decided he doesn't want to do ANY politics, or current events because he is only INTERESTED in Paranormal, then I get that.  But if he is avoiding topics because he is afraid of loosing listeners,  well, I don't buy into that theory.

But..

I could be wrong.

Prediction, Heather will play one or both of these songs on her first show back.

Ask someone to pee you.

Just asked Mrs. Walks to pee me.  She told me to get off the damn internet and go wash the dishes as penance.

Thanks.................    :'(

It’s not like paranormal moved anywhere. Politics used to be somewhat believable.

Bet she won't play "Sky High." Everyone at home would be singing along to alternate lyrics.

I noticed she is back to using "Midnight in the Desert" with Heather Wade.  Isn't that a violation as compared to "Heather Wade's Midnight in the Desert"
I bet HW will change the name when she gets the cease&desist letter from Keith's attorney after her first live show...

FYI, Dave S. is already referring to listeners as "the midnighters" and he seems to have a good opinion of bellgab since so far he has mentioned several messages from bellgabbers.
