They had gray, red and gold phys. ed. work out shorts.  I had red, so I was half jock.  I got A's in Science and while I hate to equate the two, I was pretty much a nerd.

Interesting - guess I was rather similar.  I was a dreg, but a dreg with good enough velocity to sneak into half-jock mode.

He's really worked hard to make a connection. It is so difficult to "fill" an hour of radio just by yourself, but his personal intro on Monday was one heck of an effort. Dave has opened up about personal issues on past Coast appearances and been especially on point about mental health awareness.

Sad to say, but some of the MITD crowd may have felt abused by Art quitting and then Heather's instability. Dave is steadying the ship and reassuring us that everything will be OK.

Indeed. I’m glad I’m re-subbed. It’s the first time I’ve felt comfortable giving money to the DMDN since Art quit.

Looks exactly like mine.

Haha only if you keep changing it, artbelllegacy stalker  :P ;D

What the hell are on those plates in the fan art? Butter? Crystal meth?

What was the artist on when drawing that? Butter? Crystal meth?

This is so effing evil. I think this might be over the line even for BellGab. Yeah, we can screw with the best of them, but to bring this horrible situation up for Good Dave is over the line. No one needs to be reminded of an act of such evil proportions. My heartfelt sympathies Good Dave.
IMHO

Dave spoke of this situation and the guilt he carried on Monday night.

If anything, it speaks of his character and, if you haven't heard it, the 3rd hour of Monday's episode is up for free on Midnight's official website.

I was told 'cornbread' in both cases... works for me...must have been a mean batch.

Where to begin?  I've heard about bellgab for years, just never got over here.   I came to peek after Art passed and MITD went on hiatus to find out what was going on with the show and for the last week i've been totally addicted to this thread!

Praise MV!

Welcome! Don't forget to stop by the Falkie thread and make a donation. Just kidding!

That's a great move...it's important everyone who's interested gets a chance to hear that third hour and gets to know Dave.

Thanks, I’ll have to check it out. Can’t even grasp the scenario and trying to put it in perspective.. :'(

So in a round about way, are you saying Dave is not at all interested in keeping people like me as a listener long term? I got bored with paranormal at the turn of the century.

If such is the case, I would still listen sometimes, but I would not continue to subscribe long term

Ok, well, thats up to him.

I'm ok with politics if it is kept within the guidelines zeebo has outlined.  History and that sort of thing.  Not any of the partisan/current affairs crap.  Coast does too much of that now. I want a heavy dose of the paranormal but would like the show to explore the unusual in general.

Evil exists.

The only way to deal with evil is to stop it...  Death is the most effective way.  You can't change people, like the person addicted to drugs who gets addicted to religion...  Killers though...  Uh.  No hope.

Normally I would agree, but as Sean pointed out above- this was something Dave brought up. We're not poking fun at it. In fact, the added horror of it has helped me connect with the feelings and regret Dave must have carried. And the way he tied it in with his story of a powerful reading hit home hard.

Aww, Brad Steiger died.  RIP.

Mandatory solar panels on my home would be a waste.  3-stories, kids and all...  $38 electric portion of my bill last month...

Know what that means? Another meltdown and tombstone project for Heather.

It depends, I liked when Art talked about politics while I didn't like Heather or George talk about it. Maybe it has something to do with being very aligned with what Art believed, but I thought he was speaking logically when it was dangerous on such topics as gay marriage or legal pot. I do think he wasn't so fair to callers who didn't agree with his political views though.

I've never seen such small portions of cornbread.
There's a BBQ joint down south called Jim N' Nick's. They do these cheesy cornbread muffins. Sooo damn good. They sell the mix so you can make them at home.
