The ownership of the Beatles' catalog was a guy named Dick James.  He screwed them behind their back.  DJM was an existing publishing company and partnered with a naive manager in Brian Epstein.  You want to hear something worse than that backstabbing? Brian Wilson's father sold the Sea of Tunes publishing company... HIS OWN FATHER!

McCartney is working an angle that may restore their ownership. Unfortunately, like when Michael Jackson beat them out on the bidding to buy the catalog from ATV music, Yoko Ono's bad business tactics caused many problems. She is very frail and, I hope, will die soon. She really screwed Julian Lennon and I would hope things would rectify themselves with her death.

That's the point...when you sell something, you lose almost all rights...regardless of the "sales agreement"...for example, you buy a new car and modify the engine...there are patents on the engine and its parts...you then sell the car...you cannot be sued for your modifications...why? long standing law precedence states that once you sell a product, you lose all rights to that individual sale of the product...

The Vikings were 13-3 last year, Forest!
I don't follow sportsball, especially the foot kind after the Chargers moved to Los Angeles Compton.

Didn't they have a child abuser on the Timber Twinkings?

What I wish for (unrealistically, I might add) is that one BGer record the first HW comeback show and post it for us curious types.  If all the BGers didn't stream the show, UP[o]RN would see the real Heather following and she would too.

Evil? Mean? Real.

I won't be streaming cuz I don't want her numbers up.  A post of the recording would be cool, but a recording of one of her phone sex calls would be better.  Label it as a show and post on her FB page.

David Attenborough? I can imagine Lasha on the phone to his agent now...

Patrick must be British.  Big fan of David's brother, Richard here.  Just watched Cry Freedom last night.  Not my favorite film of Attenborough's but decent.

They will lose in court...all others have...otherwise, there would be no market for reselling anything ...

Right. Lol. Oh and Darkness in Minnesota sounds like a swingers club or goth bar or both? My bad if was Minnesota in the Dark. Lol. Close enough.

I propose calling the show Pole to Pole. That way it covers the world and the website can feature a different pole dancer each week.

The big part of the problem was the use of The Beatles recording of Revolution for Nike's commercial. So, the record company has agreed to let the Beatles company (Apple) control the decision on use rights.  Beatles songs (lyrics, melody, music) are still licensable for commercials but not the recording done by the Beatles.  That is, unless the Beatles sign off on it.

Being that they are complete assholes, no one at Apple Records will ever license them without a large paycheck and total control/final approval on everything. (Fuck charities, starving kids, helping the homeless (fuck Falkie).

oh my god I think I'm actually finally caught up again.

Welcome Dave, you'll fit in here nicely.

That's what investing means...also, just owing the rights to those songs is like owning a huge chunk of ocean front property in California. You sell when it makes sense...

LOL.  It can use Journey songs for bumpers. The theme can be When The Lights Go Out(In the Privy). Wheel In the Sky and of course Holding, Touching, Squeezing are obvious bumpers too.

So, how do we know which Dave is Dave?

Didn't we refer to Snoron as Dave or am I visiting an alternate universe??

He is a YouTube personality. And I have seen him cause drama with other podcasters/communities that were completely unrelated to HW, Art Bell, or Bellgab which is why I generally avoid him like the plague.

Dave Schrader is good friends with Dark so I imagine he will be on his show.  I don't know about any drama concerning him.  He is based out of New Orleans and likes to podcast spooky stories involving Dogman, Bigfoot, ghosts and the like.

I generally refer to Noory as Jorch but some still call him Dave.

I think he can spin a good tale. Not sure what drama he has caused but the internets so? I do recall him saying some story about hiring, or getting, people to talk to people in the Quarter and they got into fights with drunks, or something. And some legal ramifications? But forget the details. I think mentioned in his Art Bell tribute show...
