Really loving it. Can't say enough good things about it. He kicked someone off due to being a fraud, funny, doesn't take himself serious at all which I love. None of this is serious. It's what makes MV so good. It's fun. The bellgab shout outs. Both Dave and his lovely, young wife followed me back on twitter. He said he plans on doing some true crime and keeping Darkness going on the weekends. Oh and no fake ass, kermit the frog meets Barry White doing and Art Bell impression voice.
Compared to the shitshow that was Heater Wade it's miles above. Oh and he was classy. I personally like no major artist as bumper music. He specifically said he's trying not to be Art. I did notice he sped up his voice the last hour but I am sure that is nerves and excitement. Bravo Dave, Michelle, and Keith.
Oh and whoever said she didn't want guest hosts (I think it was Sean but I could be wrong) because they would make her look awful, you were right.

Wow I just got to listen to hour 3 from last night. Dave is very compelling. Of course I'm more awake now, but I wish he would have opened with that hour so us east coasters could have heard it at a more decent hour. Might have set the stage for me better too.

I like the custom bumper music. It's just not necessary to do the big famous stuff when you have a more low-key show. It can crowd and diminish the host.

Hey All!
Welcome to the Etch of Sketch of life, we shook it, and started a bit from scratch and I am pleased that the over all feel is...

Reading through these pages for the last 4 days has been a treat, the hate, the love, the drama, did I mention the hate?

We are listening, and reading and hearing your concerns and platitudes, both equally important.  There will be changes, some you will love, some may take some getting used to, for all of us.

Let me give you all perspective on the task at hand, I will NEVER make everyone happy as is evident from posts here and on social media,
"He has a great Radio Voice and is such an engaging interviewer"   to  "His voice is boring and monotone. He talks too slow"  to  "He talks too fast."

My pace and meter will change, when you host a show and spend a whole hour talking, by yourself, I had to keep the energy up, talking a bit faster and higher is about transferring energy to an audience.  If I just spoke for an hour in a never changing monotone, slowly, you would have tuned out in hoards. Talking faster and with energy I was hoping to cover a lot, give some insights and keep the mood lighter and moving. 

Some will love, some will hate. Either way, I get to wake up next to the woman I love, surrounded by kids I adore and do a job that is my passion.  I hope you will continue to come along for the ride and understand, some nights will be better than others, but that is the way it is in every relationship.

I believe it was the great mind of Socrates that once said,

"You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have, The Facts of Life, The Facts of Life"

(or was that Alan Thicke? Socrates, Alan Thicke....both great thinkers and amazing TV Dads)

And one last favor, ease up on Heather. Death is a difficult blow and we all react differently to it. Just because you may handle a situation one way, there is no need to believe that is a universal truth.  Lets leave the disdain for Heather behind and instead focus it where it belongs, on Alex Trebek.

The more you talk about her and let the hate fester like a cancer the more she continues to get your attention and no one should be the focus of continuing rage. The future is here...lets go get mini-donuts and look at clouds.

Ha you made me Google it. I never went there, when I met my wife she was living in Norfolk and I always had this picture of Billericay being a satellite community to London. Agreed it does look nice and will have to visit one day!

How delicious is it that KYNE is an affiliate? Looks like Karen doesn't like Heater Wade's BS either. What's amazing is her and Art both failed to realize that when they ditched bellgab they lost a lot of people. Bellgab is a force. We did the blitz, we are now supporting the new show. What else goes on the plate when you make it, or traditionally?

Roast beef? Roast chicken? Mash spuds, veg...Some fill them up with a stew mix. Traditionally it was served as a starter to a meal and legend has it that was so, to fill up the guests and so they'd lay off the meat in the main course! As Yorkshire folk are renowned to be frugal at best, I'm inclined to believe it's more than legend.

And to Dave... don't look at it as hate, Dave. Look at it as the most savage comedy roast ever. She survived that. Now it's up to her how she moves forward. She said something to the effect of Art told her never to put herself down on air. She can still address this board or poke fun at herself without doing that. She does need to address some of the obvious BS she's done and said head on. But she needs to be herself, which I don't think has entirely been the case from day one.

Wife's maiden name comes from those French invaders (Normans) my last name is old English. I think my DNA is saxon although my grandmother told me that we were decended from Spanish who were ship wrecked on the coasts of Ireland. Somehow we made our way to Yorkshire.
