I think I feel very much as you do.  Part of me- the pre-apocalypse human side of me wishes her the best.  I don't think she has done anything to harm anyone- and if there are people out there who want to pay to subscribe, she must be filling some sort of a void.  I will say that is not me- but who am I to deprive Paul and Ella of their enjoyment?  I'm sure she is a little manipulative, but I have yet to meet anybody who does not use some manipulation at points in their life.  Pretty much everything negative is conjecture, and I can't wish her ill based on what I have observed.  I am curious how fragile those who genuinely wish her ill posting here must be to feel that she wronged them to the point they want her life ruined must be.

With that said, the part of me looking through the lens of my gas mask is getting a hell of a kick out of all of this and hopes it will not end- it has provided too many great laughs.  I'm off to find some non-irradiated popcorn.

BTW- Congrats on kicking your habit- I'm sticking with mine.

As much as I want to see Heather do the right thing and abide by her agreement, I doubt she will. Unfortunately I don't think litigation is the answer. In my experience, most times, the only "winner" out of these types of situations are the attorneys. I think Keith probably has to proceed legally but the best outcome for DMDN is for MITD to succeed. Heather's new show won't because it didn't before and she's not willing or able to do it any differently.

Heather (or Lasha) must of done a great sales job on Vara to get him to mix up in this mess. Maybe it's just egos taking over.  In any case we'll see who's left standing at the end of the year.

MV gave HW good advice on the most recent GabCast - just be yourself.  You may not be great at it, but at least we're not all hammering you for thinking you are the legacy.  Art's legacy is his own.  We're on BG mostly because of that.  Whether it's Fr. M. Martin, Mel's Hole, Y2K, etc. - that's the legacy.  Even the quittenings.  We've all said it - Art could make most any topic interesting and have you thinking "yea, maybe that is possible...".

I had to Google the 1900s Great Ape jaz as well. I knew it was only a half story/truth, but needed to check details before I started typing like some half-witted Gorilla. Cryptos always trot out the fallacy "We didn't know about X critter untill." As if that makes some yet unknown animal more or less likely to exists.

All the while there are literally millions of "undiscovered" plants, insects, & animals. All known quantities, awaiting discovery/classification. Which at this point in my life is far more amazing than my childhood love affair with cryptids. Especially when it's attached to a bunch of retreaded hacks peddling vaporware, over getting honest work. Falkies with a slightly better grift.

A discovery that grabbed my attention/imagination was Flores Man, yet almost no one seems to know/care about it. At times people seem fixated on the magic in the static, over substance.

It's bleak out there, though, kitty.  Before the latest drama I wholly abandoned paranormal late-night listening for science lectures, where I have encountered your hobbit.  On the whole, though, scientists make for deadly dull listening -- studious avoidance of speculation, whole presentations on statistical analyses that used to be relegated to footnotes, new discoveries that turn out to be "it's more complicated than we thought" retrenchment rather than advancement.  All the while I know these guys got into that profession for a reason, and that their conversation over drinks must be astonishing.

I started dating my wife 3 years ago at the start of MITD, so I had to explain Art Bell and BellGab to her.  Of course, that means explaining Dark Matter because of the streaming "issues" and non-compete ending.  It's impossible to explain to outsiders, right ?  I tried MV's explanation of the GabCast, LOL.  Good thing she is patient.  Or just tunes me out like any good spouse - we both have prior marriage experience.
