As an occasional BellGabber in the Bellahaven, I don't agree with you on this.  But hey, that's why we gather and dialogue.  I don't think you should forget this guest.  Especially if you don't agree with him.  But that's my opinion.

As for laughing it up...keep at it.  I laugh a lot about it, too.  But with a different view than yours.  I'm not jumping on you.  I'm throwing out a different view.  Hope I haven't come across too agro, as the kids say. 

It is funny... I was fine with the guest right up until he fired up the old campaign bus.  I may not agree with all that he said on foreign policy and the war, but I didn't really care.  About the time that he announced his campaign and made the Snowden comment I was done.  If he would have said right from the start "my name is Charles Faddis, and I am running for congress" I think I would have been alright.  However, having to go back in my mind and try to remember what he said and then apply the new knowledge to it was not fair, and I was done.

I missed the first hour, the middle hour was alright, and then I was done for the third hour.

We Bellgabbers in Bella-Haven share your sentiments 100%. We tried to be funny and laugh about a lot of this out of respect, but really. If this world-view were correct, all the world's problems would have been solved right now because of our awesome arsenal of fine weaponry.

I'm torn between wanting to forget this guest forever and hoping Art never abandons this important topic. We need a more nuanced discussion.

I got rid of my cable so I would never accidentally see Fox News for the split second it was flying by when I was channel surfing. If he keeps doing this I'm cancelling my subscription. There is nothing anyone is going to say (not even Art Bell) that is going to make me vote for another one of those ass kissers working for those 1% Billionaire Criminals that have taken over our government in D.C.

If they got to him fine - but I'm not paying for this ride.

Because he was openly, brazenly lying. At least that's why I'm opposed to anyone taking him seriously--insofar as actually listening to him, well, I actually quite enjoy identifying and outing brazen liars, as should be evident by my posting history.

First off, Hong Kong is NOT a "communist country" like he claims it is, therefore Snowden could not possibly have "fled to a communist country".

I have lived in both China and Hong Kong and they are vastly different places with wholly separate systems of government (yes yes, except for the appointment of the HK Administrator).  Hong Kong is routinely rated as a better place to do business and has a more free and open press than the U.S.
The reason Snowden fled to Russia is because HK was going to extradite him back to the U.S. - so really Faddis, either get your fuckign facts straight or stop trying to impress the morons that believe the NSA programs have been a good deal for America.

He (Faddis) said, after Art asked if Snowden is a traitor or hero, that he doesn't necessarily agree with everything that the NSA has done, but what he failed to say was that if it were not for Snowden he wouldn't have the slightest clue what the NSA has been up to.  That if it were not for Snowden the NSA would this very minute be expanding their unconstitutional spying.

How anyone can call an individual a traitor because he blew the whistle on a completely unconstitutional secret program is beyond me.
