I can believe the possibility of it.    Hoagie will bail at any chance.  You really think he's that dedicated?  He moved to another "network" at a time slot he hates.

It's doubtful whether we'll ever know the full story behind it, but I suspect that the move to KCAA may not have been entirely voluntary.    I think, perhaps, it was much more along the lines of RCH's purported move to Deming, New Mexico.  Deming, with a median family income of ~$23K a year, isn't quite the sort of place where you have to fret over the possibility of running into some of your High Roller friends from Vegas.  But needs must when the devil drives, apparently.

Speaking for myself, I am rather surprised that no one has yet sought to nominate the Hoagland Unit as a measurement for the human ego.  Most human egos would reach one, possibly two, millihoaglands, tops (though Donald Trump's ego may be capable of reaching three millihoaglands). 

A full Hoagland, however, is just about inconceivable, and would undoubtedly result in large amounts of test equipment having to be written off upon being exposed to such a gargantuan manifestation of ego.

Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe is an internationally acclaimed astronomer, famous for his pioneering studies on the carbonaceous nature of cosmic dust and the prevalence extraterrestrial life. He is a recipient of several international awards and honorary doctorates. He was a former Fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge and a Professor at Cardiff University for 40 years. He is currently Honorary Professor and Director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology at the University of Buckingham, a Visiting Academics at Churchill College, Cambridge, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He is also a founder member of the newly-formed Institute for the Study of Panspermia and Astroeconomics in Gifu, Japan. He has written over 30 books and 300 scientific papers, over 60 of these being in the journal Nature.
