I'm not debating that there were problems with that but the phenomenon continued to be studied and I think still is long after they had been discredited and the public's attention was off it.

You're right to the extent that a "hard core" of 100 or so labs are still trying, but the work isn't being funded any more and that's what counts, really.

P.S. Thanks for writing "off it" rather than "off of it." One of my pet peeves, like "I could care less."

This is outrageous! Probably due to JJ whining that Amy's thread wasn't pinned despite the fact she is more unreliable than Art Bell. I mean no one cares about the gabcast except brig and she only cares because she loves everything bellgab.

Heather's  thread was unpinned too. MV only left the threads for his own podcasts pinned.

You're not here enough to cry with us!

I've been here plenty, since the beginning.  Lately...not so much.  Nonetheless...save your tears my Queen...

I call upon the spirit of Robert Norman "Badger Bob" Johnson to tilt the game in favor of the Pens.

The guest listing for tonight has been updated.

>Thurs/Fri 5/27 Chris Dunn & Update on Obama’s Visit To Hiroshima with Special Correspondent Michelle in Japan

Michelle is no longer a regular caller. She is now a regular guest like Richard Spence. That's pretty neat-o.

MV is trying to take away the fun of the forum.

Grammar nazi's biggest problems isn't with incorrect use of language so much as they forget language is first and foremost a tool for communication, and not everyone adheres to their preference of speech style.

I used to like annoying my grammarian mother with "I could care less", "no, son, you couldn't care less. 'I could care less indicates you do care'". "No, mother, it's perfectly valid since I have a demonstrable level of concern for the topic, but which my said concern is also capable of lessening, if no disappearing completely." She got kinda huffy some times.

What really peeves me is hearing "I mean...", "like...", and "I mean, like...". A person not using perfect grammar and syntax doesn't bug me, especially if the person really is trying to get a thought across.

I will occasionally employ those colloquialisms. Sometimes they're perfectly valid choices and even when not it's just the way people speak sometime.  :)
