I wouldn't doubt it. That Voyager story is hard to believe. Has there ever been any verification?

A lock of Hoagie's hair is etched into the record.

I like how the guest is resisting Hoagies attempts to get him to make blatantly wild claims.

Brookings Report reference from Hoagland (as if that hasn't been debunked enough.)

Smart lady! She seemed to know a lot about gravity too: You're walking but you're really falling forward.  ;)

Gravity sucks

Now I'm thinking the plate was actually made from adamantium. It all makes sense.  ;)

Dick should mention his theoretical model of a Hoagicentic universe.

Hoagland said egotism is not normal or sane lol lol lol

Gravity sucks

Evidence suggests it blows rather than sucks. The result is still the same on our end.  ;)

He also wants funding to send a martian flu vacuum into space

It's there on Hoagland's wiki page:

Although the Pioneer 10 plaque was designed entirely by Carl Sagan, Linda Salzman Sagan, and Frank Drake,[38] Hoagland has inaccurately asserted that he co-created the plaque with Eric Burgess.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_C._Hoagland#Claims_by_Hoagland

Long story short, Eric Burgess mentioned the idea to Hoagland, then he, Hoagland, and another writer approached Carl Sagan.  Carl and Frank Drake designed the plaque and Carl's
wife prepared the artwork:

And usually ends up with some kind of explosion.

NASA should send a picture of Michelle up in the next space probe to frighten away any hostile aliens.

Complete disinformation... Hoagland himself used a chisel and hammer to craft that plaque!

Overall, I'd say the interview didn't turn out too badly, despite Hoagland's best efforts.  ::)

Piffle. Hoagie's idea was to send up an Etch A Sketch, not a plaque.  :P

Well it his show!

It is Hoagland's show, true, but a good radio host makes the show about the guests.

That is why Hoagland will never be a good radio host: he is too wrapped up in himself and cannot set his ego aside long enough to let his guests really shine.  He is always afraid they might outshine him and, boy, does it show!

(His insecurity sticks out like a cow's ass.  Fact.)

I'm going to puke now then make love to my mattress.

Be careful not to get the order of operations confused!

(Mattresses really hate that.)  :-*
