To be honest, I liked him back in the days when he was on with Art.  Didn't usually buy his shit--but there was a kernel of respect for the "intelligence"/cohesiveness of his views.  He was fun.

The times I've heard him, on DMN... he's insulted his listeners, taken several nights of troll calls/"hailing all frequencies" or whatever, talked about old ships, played replays...

He's fallen a long way, since I've paid attention.  Sorry I missed the golden period--though it seems to have lasted all of ten seconds, from what I see here.
