Hyper dimensional model... Rock and fucking roll

Here are three arcologies in one.  Start at lower left hand corner and go up the coastline to what looks like a tortoise head sticking out.  Right above it is a partially decomposed skull and to the right of that is a Plutonian head sculpture.  The guy's got a prominent chin, and lips, pointy nose and Frankenstein's monster forehead and crown of head.

Speaking of the 80s, Devo is one of the best bands of all time! People only ever remember Whip it but they had so many great songs, an over-arching philosophy and concept (and an affiliation with the Church of the Subgenius), interesting costumes and a great sense of humor.

And a 'tetrahedron' to boot.

I wish Stuart Robbins or Expat would call in and dissect his bollox.

Figure of speech.

I believe Devo is underrated and they were ahead of their time.  8)

If Hoagie thinks it was a "Type 2" civ... Then why don't we see a Dyson Sphere around the sun?

Is this the same NASA that earlier this year refused to send back the pictures that are just now coming to Earth? No, it's a different one.

I REALLY see the first two.  ;D

If you put a tetrahedron in a sphere,  scaled so that its bottom points hit the equator, it doesn't matter if you put i t on the north or south pole.  The points on the equator w ill be the same location if you simply mirror it from top to bottom.

So how does he get 19.5 north and south if the equator points are the same?

Or is he talking about lines along the surface from each pole?

Or does he know?

Take an equilateral triangle as a solid body..(60 degrees each angle)...the point at 'north' of a sphere just big enough to contain it, the bottom points will hit the surrounding sphere at 19.5 degrees south from the equator...Hoagland thinks <sic> this has some universal significance.
