Oh I've tried the old "I'm an Egyptologist" line.  It just never works though.

Some people have all the luck.  Don't tell me you didn't have an independently wealthy girlfriend who offered to take you to London.  That would just be TOO unfair!

Next time, try it with the head-dress. I'll bet you score.  ;)

I find it kind of insulting ...to be honest.
Like you said Rose He is a scientist . I have been getting from Him How he came to believe in The Astrology and Metaphysical stuff . I understand How you feel . Call in and ask how it developed . I would love to hear that . ;D

If you want to study consciousness, study the pituitary while listening   to pulsed 1.5 hz tones through headphones.

In what way?

It just seems to me that science is bending over backwards at the moment to 'claim' this knowledge that has been around for hundreds of thousands of years by redefining it with 'scientific terms'. And just listen to his tone...he's almost apologizing for experience something psychic.

It's insulting to all of us that have these gifts and have perfected them and are using them on a daily basis.

Because they can prove and demonstrate what they do. I'm willing to entertain psychic phenomena, I have an open mind as a rule, but I haven't been given any proof of it.

RoseGirl

see....when you use scientific words, these things become 'lectures at colleges'...when you say psychic, it becomes a joke or a prank or someone trying to rip you off

Be careful with those. You have no idea of what other brain entrainment is embedded in there. You can usually feel it though if it's unhealthy.

No offense to you, but there's a great deal of hubris in the people you speak of, in general.  How do you quantify "gifts?"  Seems like a personal faith like any other religion or belief.  I will add that there's a great deal of hubris in Hoagie, et al....blah blah blah.
