So Star Trek stole the Enterprise design from a flying rock that looks like a lumpy rock.

One of my problems when I post is that sometimes I write stupid stuff like here instead of hear.  Damn homophones get me from time to time.  I know better.

Thoughtful intentional is a different animal entirely from ignorant intentional.

This is one of my favorite Brian leads and it is rather naughty for 1964.  I would have changed the fade-out chorus to tit-tit-tit-tit instead of dit-dit-dit-dit like The Beatles on Girl.

Sigh, there are no boundaries to break anymore.

It's 4:30 am for you-probably easy to make those mistakes.

It's hard to quibble with any Beach Boys vocal performance but in terms of songs this is still from that "Shine up your woody and head for the snack stand" era  :D

I once ghost-wrought a cook book for a certain whirled re-noun latte-knight host...

Eye, keed!  Eyore as a donkey raised goat-chill.

I have said too much!

ediot:  DO NOT start these two videos at 30 second intervals to one another, that quick and easy path leads to the Dork side!

There was an allusion that the Beatles got the idea for that from this song in Love & Mercy

Yeah, I know but I enjoy most of their music even the surf, cars, and girls stuff. It is very well produced and some of the stuff is subversive like Don't Worry Baby and I Get Around.  My wife's favorite Beach Boys song is 409 and she's quite a bit younger than me.  I didn't really get into the Beach Boys until I was 23 or 24 when I met some guy at a flea market and he got me into their music.  I Get Around is a great song and broke some boundaries at the time.  The Stones loved it. This is from that period.

Those are two of my favorite songs of theirs. I also think In My Room is great too and presages his Pet Sounds era stuff. My experience is similar in that I thought their music was hoaky in general when I was a kid. It wasn't until I was in my 20s that it hit me just how good most of it is. I don't hate their surf era. I just don't like as much as their middle period.

Yah man.  I love Pet Sounds and the Smile Sessions.  I could listen to that stuff all day.  This flea market guy was always playing me unreleased Smile sessions stuff and I was floored.

Try this. The intro is the best part. You'll recognize it. ;)

You got me Logan.  I know it from another song. I should know this but I'm tired and my mind is fuzzy.  I love Donovan.  I don't know why I love all the trippy psychedelic music from the 60's because I've never done drugs except for a tiny bit of pot.  I guess I don't need them to go tripping.  ;D
