Who said Boris was a valid option? He's Mr Marmite. Variously described as brilliant or a complete buffoon. But his hair has a faulty gene-his father looks the same, Trump is bald and instead of doing what normal men would do, and accept it and get on, he makes himself look an insecure fool who thinks he's fooling everyone else. Maybe it's a metaphor?
I have no opinion of Boris, though he is a doople-ganger of a cousin of mine, and not my business or concern. (I still find it odd this obsession by foreigners over our polices and politics. Do you really feel that irrelevant?) I just mention hair because I could care less about some guy's hair. Though the comb-over has a grand tradition (Prince Charles, MacArthur, Don Rickles, Bobby Charlton, various news reporters, and my 5th grade math teacher who when he would lean down you could see all the way to the back of his head the comb-over was so pronounced (he had the back hair combed front as opposed to the usual side part style,..hilariously bad) and I'm glad some are still sporting it even after decades of ridicule and laughter and them not fooling anyone!

Hasn't US foreign policy since 1945 to make the US interfere in other countries' affairs? Don't like their government; instigate a coup and genocide and install one the Whitehouse does like. Look at our interest as that of a caring parent tired of their adolescent child fucking it up but we love them still.

No they don't fool anyone. Except themselves maybe.

I hear you. We can't win. We try to be isolationist and then get pleas for funds, equipment, lend-lease, to join international bodies, or to jump into wars. We do get involved in war and then get bitched at. Oh well. I would withdraw from all international bodies, no foreign aide of any kind from government (charities, churches, people can do what they wish,) fight only when attacked and to protect our borders and sea space (and those wars ended quickly with total, devastating methods,) and go more isolationist except trade, travel, etc (not by government agreements but businesses/people making mutually approved commerce) but that would be criticized also.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that they even fool themselves. Do they not have mirrors? One reason I like that people still attempt the comb-over: so ridiculous it is humorous and perplexing since they fool no one (except, in some mental way, as you mention, maybe themselves?)

Aarrrrrggghghgh! It doesn't have to be either/or. Insular doesn't have to have a diametric opposite pole of destroying stuff. It CAN and should be about reaching across the globe (personally {as you have} as well as diplomatically/culturally) and stop thinking the USA is the centre of the universe. It is part of the world, undoubtedly an important one, but not as some believe (because it's indocrinated) the only place with everything worth having or living for.

I hear you but I still say charity begins at home. We have enough problems to sort out here before we deal with other parts of the world. Businessmen, travelers (usually,) well-meaning missionaries, charities, doctors, nurses, students, sports, etc are better outreach than military. (With common-sense I don't encourage people to go to some countries, or at least, be prepared and know what you are potentially getting into.) For good or ill (I think ill) US exports like Hollywood and soda drinks probably are more effective than official foreign policy, foreign aide, or wars for changing or influencing cultures!
ps: here is a blast from the past for you. Went and found it after reading another thread. Good times then (so I still don't understand that sport a whit.)

Is that what went wrong with British policies over the last 6 decades.  Sorry 'bout that.

Still would what? Borrow her hair brush?   Oh, wait, my bad, you're English, you just sound that way. ;D
This sort of thing is a hate crime. My brothers and sisters in the cause have struggled with this prejudice all our lives and it's time to take action!!

By the way, don't knock the hair brush angle until you've tried it.

Is that natural born citizen rule still around? I'd like to see Toronto's Rob Ford have a crack at running for POTUS.

I just read this article on Trump University.

I think that the lawyer for Trump ought to try the truth- There was no scam.  These people paid their $25000- $35000 to find out the secrets that made Trump a successful developer.  And when he raked in the cash, and provided absolutely nothing in return, they graduated "Trump University" with honours majoring in ethics.  Tehy are now able to apply the lessons they learned on their way to the top...

Sounds like the Trump version of Anthony Robbins's Unlimited Power... Buyer beware.

I'm still voting for Trump over any democrat or Bush - just to shit on them all.

He taught them a lesson that is cheaper than many universities and definitely cheaper than most liberal arts colleges. Caveat emptor. Look before you leap. And "ethics" in many business and real estate deals.....

All salespeople should be killed.

The idea that someone should earn income based on how much they can mislead and defraud someone else, is sickening.

Absofuckinglutely. But then, how could Hollywood justify its own snake-oil if it were to ban someone else's?

Actually the better reward would be to watch you blow your own brains out seeing how you use em so little...

It would make a cool YouTube.

A really cool youtube is what your wife and I do while you and your stepson are out.

It's too hot even for this unmoderated forum. (Hint: she "blows my brains out")

Well, there were. Karl however, didn't like who he saw, so he shot them.

There may be just a slight wobble in the wheels of the Trump bus. I see Dr. Ben Carson gaining momentum. Look for the good doctor to slingshot around Trump in the coming week(s).
