Paulides has a show now?

Just saying it seems that way with Knapp having him on so often. He's the guest next Sunday.

Haha good one.  Didn't realize he was back on.  Wonder if he'll have more stories to tell.  I'll admit I don't get tired of the Knapp/Paulides shows.  They're spooky.

Don't remember ever hearing about the Kelly, KY UFO incident.  Now I want to hear more.

'Allo!
with you am i still.
I remember an special radio docu-drama on some kind of show when or shortly after, it happened, sort of like,'You Are There',but i could be confuseing it with an kind of tele-play like,"Lights Out"or,another old radio show,"Inner Sanctum"or its' copy-kats.
Any-way,this case seemed to involve little gnomes or fairys, not aliens from u.f.o.'s.
No objects were seen, however, other people in the county/state claimed to see mystery meteors or fire-balls,so,apparently the state authorities lumped it in.
The creatures just appeared on the forested edge of the farm,and,un-observed,walked up to an house full of hicks haveing an hootenanny slash family re-union.
Some-one looked out and thought it was an animal like an raccoon sneaking towards the chicken coop.
Several grabbed implements like rakes and etc. and sauntered out the back door to see an phalanx or posse of short, ugly monsters with elephant-like heads walking through the yard towards the house.
The rest of the story describes an seige where all retreated in-to the house and sat, hysterical, trying to decide what was happening, until some sounds showed one had reached the roof.
Drawing straws, two hicks took an rifle and shotgun, ran out,and shot at the little monster with the result that it appeared to glide through the air un-hurt,but surrounded by an glowing aura,to the yard and scampered away.
That's all i remember.

I've grown tired of Paulides' constant bashing of the National Park Service. It just doesn't have all the financial resources to do all he wants.

I dunno, on top of whatever federal funding they get they friggin nickel & dime you for day use fees etc. just so we can see our own public lands.  Years ago they charged us friggin $25 just to drive into the Grand Canyon parking lot.  And recently on a road trip we dropped by a park to use the bathroom and the ranger made us promise we'd only be there five minutes and not walk in to see some waterfall since that costs ten bucks.

Ok so, my rant aside ... their annual budget is about 2.5 billion which is pretty small compared to other departments.  But they do sound like they stonewall him for info, if what he says is true.

I saw that group on their reunion tour.  They did all their hits like:

Whole Lotta Pizza Rolls
Annie Don't Lose That Number
Jump (Into A Portal)
Hey Jorch

Haha, yep those are classics.

Ha!  Dave's top turds.  I'm surprised he hasn't started a concert tour.

Uncle Duke

Speaking of Knapp and music, I really enjoyed his last show interviewing the author of the books on the Beatles' tours of America in the 1964/65.  I chuckled out loud when the guest told the story of the long-legged "Winky Weather Girl" who not so graciously spurned George Harrison's advances but still had the nerve to ask for two comp passes to the concert.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I much prefer hearing Knapp does shows on show business and true crime (especially those involving early Vegas history) over his UFO/paranormal shows.

Urban Disappearances
Date:   Sunday - August 30, 2015
Host: George Knapp
Guests: David Paulides
George Knapp welcomes researcher and author David Paulides, who will provide an update on his investigation into mysterious and baffling disappearances in national parks, including how his latest research now takes him to urban areas, where he is finding evidence that fits his criteria for the unsettling phenomenon that he has uncovered.

;D

Knapp Night!

Looks like a good one!

Thanks for the heads-up guys.   There's something about Knapp and missing people.  I remember a show he did about this old guy and his dog who disappeared, leaving their car by the side of a highway in Nevada.  Felt bad for him and his family but wow that was riveting.  Knapp's spare reporting, sketching out the lonely exit in the middle of nowhere, late-night truckers suspected, hidden mineshafts...I could feel the cold wind and smell the sagebrush.

I remember this well but didn't remember it was Paulides.  Yes. Great radio.  Urban disappearances tonite. Really looking forward to new stories. Knapp and Paulides shows are like sitting around the campfire with the 2 best scary story tellers.

It wasn't Paulides; don't remember if Knapp had anyone else on, but I do remember googling trucking company logos and staring at that blurry photo of the suspected truck for what seemed like hours.

Art's on at 9pm here on the west coast...11pm is too late for me...but will try and catch Knapp on the flip side!

Knapp had a police detective who was working the case on air, as well as one of the missing man's children.  And yes, I too spent a good deal of time looking at trucking logos.

I would like an update on that case (the disappearance(s) along a certain highway) and in particular the man, but also on the others. Their are weird, crazy stuff that happen in the desert (and elsewhere) but I recall that case of women being tortured/presumed-killed (sicko David Parker Ray.) Ugg. This subject of the man's disappearance show(s) needs an update by Knapp. Hopefully a positive one.

I imagine Knapp gets in the mood with a high-quality brandy or similar beverage.

Agreed... This is the first C2C show that I have listened to since Art returned.  I often forget about Knapp but really wanted to hear Paulides and him again, so I made a point to listen.
