If Don or Hill gets in this time around it is going to prove a couple of things.

The biggest thing it will clarify for me is that my school taught me wrong- and hopefully classroom lessons will be modified to reflect the new reality...  It will prove that the electoral college is a joke.  I was taught that one of it's functions of the electoral college is to prevent the American people from being completely stupid by acting as a final check.  I believe that EITHER one of these candidates taking the presidency will prove that the idea of the founding fathers has failed (miserably.)

Alexander Hamilton briefly addressed these concerns in the Federalist Papers. The idea was that the electors would be a group of people who would ensure that a qualified person would become president.

I get it...
