Cockneys Vs. Zombies Elderly people in a care home and some would-be young bank robbers vs the walking dead. I admit it - I laughed a lot. Good original music and the film has Honor Blackman, Richard Briers and Alan Ford as the feisty elderly zombie killers.

It's actually only an Amazon  original series pilot-- so far.  You can watch it through Amazon, Xbox 360, etc.  for no charge. After you watch it, you can vote on it to be one of the series that you would like to see put into production.

And this one, looks absolutely amazing! I urge everybody to take a look at it. You won't be disappointed.

Cris  Carter, of X Files fame, also created a pilot for consideration. It's called The After, and it appears to be a very solid, and interesting Sci-fi show.

The worst possible way to handle this.  Without the guys whipping the women there's not much of a story here.  These ladies are pretty courageous for protesting though.

Their courage humbles me. I also enjoy that the US networks and cable shows must now say 'Pussy Riot' in reporting the news.  That must be painful for some cough*Faux*cough

I've watched the newest "Ip Man" movie. I hope they make one about him teaching Bruce Lee. I think there's 3 of these so far. Also saw "The Conjuring" and "Insidious 2".

I once had a depressing dream about a sequel to that movie. The procedure became widespread and the two characters kept meeting, having a relationship, ending the relationship, having their memories of each other erased and then meeting all over again and again.

Yep that's why I'm not a Hollywood writer.

Being sick sucks, endless rain accompanying, but I found some funny ass viewing on netflix so...
And it's not a movie so maybe mis-threaded here but I'm sick (a seasonal relapse/visit from my old friend and teacher, the Valley Fever, lesson- rest when you're supposed to hello) and it's raining so lay off.
Maybe you already know all about it but I'm slow and don't watch stuff because I don't sit still often but I'm sick so- oh yeh sed that thirteen times already.
It's called The Job, a series w/Denis Leary. I've never seen a thing with the dude in it but this show is fufunny to me, like a hopped up Barney Miller. Because of my low fever and high thc/cbd (approx. 50/50 proportions as a anti-inflammatory/relaxant, doctor recommended) regimen my viewer opinion may be skewed but if I was going to produce a tv show to make myself laugh this is what it would be like.

Romantic movies for adults

Il Postino 1995, Italian comedy/drama Massimo Troisi was brilliant as the humble postman who took up a friendship with poet Pablo Neruda and learned to court his intended through poetry. Any movie that has poet Pablo Neruda as a character giving romantic advice is worth seeing, and this one is a gem. Sadly, Massimo Troisi died after completion from heart failure which made many his shots performed sitting down or leaning. Brilliant actor, lovely, romantic film.

Bread and Tulips 2000 Italian comedy/romance A wife is inadvertantly left behind her tour bus when no one misses her, including her husband who is having an affair with her sister-in-law, and she rebels. She hitches a ride to Venice where she begins a new life on her own and meets memorable off the wall characters including an Icelandic waiter who gives her a room in her flat. Bruno Ganz (Wings of Desire) is the waiter. He and the radiant Licia Maglietta are funny and touching as the older, unexpected but delightful pair. There is accordion playing at the end, which just seals the deal.

Moonstruck 1987 comedy/romance  La bella luna, Brooklyn, the Metropolitan Opera, the score from La Boheme, the completely offbeat pairing of Cher and Nicholas Cage that works and a cast of characters you can find in any Brooklyn neighborhood plus one of the most quotable films ever: "In time you'll see I'm right' "In time you'll drop dead and I'll come to your funeral in a red dress." One of my favorites.

Dr.Strangelove(1964) for the probably 100th time mainly due to the new "Cold War" currently beginning and because it is just so darn good.

Young Frankenstein(1974) for the probably 99th time because it is so funny.

Shock(1946): because I haven't seen it but looks promising.
