I have an Alhambra water cooler. They deliver 4 5 gallon water bottles twice a month. $ 30 a month.
And they give you the cooler to keep.
The tap water in my kitchen tastes horrible so I went that route.
Kathy was buying 24 bottle cases of bottled water and this is a lot easier. You slide up the front of the machine, take off the seal and out the hose in it and in a few minutes you have cold water or hot water.
They've been offering it to people at Costco which is where I signed up for it.

I checked with the app Hopper and its $265 round trip so I could definitely afford to fly both ways.
I was only checking one way fares before.

If you need to put it on a credit card and not pay it off in full right away then you can not afford it.

It makes perfect sense to use a CC because it provides some security in the purchase but ONLY if you can pay it off in full right away. If you make minimum payments like I suspect you do then that trip will cost thousands of dollars.

Airfare is $2-300, rooms are $119 a day ( approx $480 + tax ). One of my cards would pay for the room, one for the air fare. Getting to the hotel on their overpriced shuttle is ridiculous ( $ 60 round trip ).
If I have enough available on my cards, I will fly back, but taking the train across the desert and up the coast would be nice as I've never done it before.
Train is $147-281, depending whether or not I get a room, which I probably would.

But after living with Kathy, it might be nice to have a room by myself for a whole weekend.

No it won't. As I pay down other cards, I add more money to the next card.
It took me years to get Kathy to understand that she needs to make more than $ 25 payments on her cards and would never get them paid off.
I'm making $55-75 a month payments on my other cards but they have relatively low balances on them and one will increase my limit in 6 months after I make five payments on time.
I can go anywhere I want despite what the welfare worker thinks. This is America after all.
But then I would be repeating myself to people too stupid to understand that I cannot work on a regular basis due to my physical and other ailments.
As to my detractors not wanting me to attend any event, to hell with what they think.
I'm going to the event to meet people, to do videos and maybe to interview people as well.
The UFO Congress just gave me permission to film anywhere except for the speaking events as they make money re-selling those speeches and events and I can understand that.
Once Kathy moves out of here, we won't be using the gas cards as much since she will be living far away from here.
She just drove to Pittsburg to look for a place and says it looks like crap.
The whole area looks like one giant slum and is depressing to look at but in this area there are no apartments available or a waiting list to get one and that only if multiple people move out.
And I am not living high on the hog.
My income is less than $11k a year and after rent I have $ 665 a month or so to live on. Hardly living high at all, no matter what the haters think.

Tonight I had roast chicken ( a 1/4 ), mashed potatoes with gravy, 2 pickles, water and a piece of cherry pie, all I had to eat all day.

I came home and went to sleep and woke up and ate 1/2 a tomato and some lettuce plain.
Then stayed up and watched 2 episodes of Nero Wolfe.
Later today a video on a major news story in an area right down the road from me with implications for the whole area.
And I am getting another credit card which will enable me to go to Phoenix for a major UFO convention. MY credit card and not anyone else's.

Agreed. This is absurd. Someone who lives in government assisted housing, is on government assistance as a sole source of income, relies on government assistance for health care, is getting a government paid housekeeper , etc should not be able to get a credit card. There needs to be legislation passed which makes this illegal.

Tax payers should not be paying for Falkie to go to a UFO conference. Furthermore if Falkie is so disabled he needs a housekeeper to clean up after him, he shouldn't be in a condition to travel all the way to Arizona and walk around a conference all day.
