It comes as a complete surprise to me. Falkie has picked allot of winners in the past, but ya it wasn't against the spread. So I guess I'm sorta hurt that he doesn't grasp the concept of a spread. I think the world of the big guy but now I might have to reassess my full devotion to the man.

It's been 40 years since I actively bet on football through the auspices of a friend who had a bookie.
According to Wikipedia, the spread is points that favor the underdog.
That's what I always thought the line was and if I've been wrong all these years, well excuse me, I'm way out of practice.
Back then you bought sheets like the Winning Points ( around since 1970 on paper and now a website ) or the Gold Sheet to get info on college and pro games. It gave you information you were not going to see in your local paper and there were no sports shows or internet talking about the daily line although it was posted in the papers.
Now after a great deal of effort and a major Vegas casino bending the rules to allow me to talk to someone IN their sports book just now ( state law won't let you call into sports books ) the favorite is a minus and the underdog is a +.
I've not made a straight bet since 1995 when I drove to Reno and placed a bet on the Steelers to win the Super Bowl in 1996 & got 10-1 for $10 and a free t shirt.
That year I told my late friend Glenn that his Niners were going to be at home and the Steelers were going to the Super Bowl. He said I knew nothing about football ( despite my having had bet on games in the 1970's with thousands on the line in parlays which he had forgotten about ).
I was right and he was wrong even though the Steelers lost.
I now have been reminded what -110 is. ( as an example ). You bet $110 to win $100.
Of course one can shop around for better odds.

No, that's running back Marshawn Lynch. His season is in question right now due to possible abdominal hernia issues. Proud Seahawks fan living the life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  8)

Lynch is not probable for this weekend and I posted a story about it on my blog and forum yesterday.

http://falkie2008.blogspot.com/2015/11/seahawks-not-expecting-marshawn-lynch.html

I will do a video on Sherman and the Sea turkeys later tonight.

That so-called " diary " is utter nonsense and a further insult and below is shown the only two sources of mayonnaise I have and I use it as G*d has intended, on sandwiches or Sammiches if you're from the ' Burgh.

Hey Falkie, just to be clear you didn't know that - was for the favorite and +was for the underdog. You didn't know this yet you claim that you made many Parley wagers and you have an insider that works at a major Vegas sports book? You also drove to Reno at some point to bet on the Steelers, again without knowing how to read a spread?

You can choose the winner on a straight win-lose basis which is what I did MONTHS before the Super Bowl.
Right now I'm choosing who * I * think is going to win.
I only started mentioning the odds for Gerry's sake who has a pool or something going.
But like I said earlier, its been years since I have actively bet on a game but when I choose whom I think is going to win, I don't care about the odds or spread.

Ya Falkie stay away from the odds or spreads. You did freaking awesome picking the winners about 2 weeks ago. If you were in the pool that I'm in you woulda won 200$ that week. So please get another NFL picks video up when you can. Ol Gerry is committed to making you a star. I kinda figured you would be one some day but I didn't see you getting you're big break via ESPN. But hey if they can prance out some blonde bimbo's onto the field that know nothing about football then you deserve a shot with them.

Send the bimbos.
I will teach them about housework and they may sit at my feet and learn of the 'Burgh way of doing things then I shall send them back to their networks re-educated and properly indoctrinated in the Pittsburgh Wayand/or the Steeler Way as well.

Technically that is correct but the points are not made by experts they are ultimately made by the betters. If a team gets too much play then they take away points, if a team gets to little they get points.
The goal being to get equal money on each side and the Book takes their percentage. It  has little to do with what any analyst think will happen.
The book has no desire to actually gamble on the outcome of a game.

You will see odds when it is a future game with unknown participants, like betting at the beginning of a season for the Steelers to win the Super Bowl.

How are you going to teach them about housework, when you don't even know what housework is? Are you going to teach them how to stack bowls of soup into milk crates?

Once I have my license back and my own car, I will be probably betting at least on whom I think will win the Super Bowl for next year and be playing roulette or poker up in Reno.

I don't spend more than $ 50 not counting room and food.

Here is a link to the odds for next year's Super Bowl to be held at the new Niners stadium.

Those that can't do, teach.

Bullshit.

I showed before and after scenes in my videos.
Housework is a drudge job that seemingly never ends.
I'd tell them what I needed done and let them go do it.
I figure they're not too stupid to do housework.
No matter what YOU think.

At one time I cleaned office buildings and Kmarts when I worked for Servicemaster, but I HATE doing it on my own given my physical limitations.
I had been waiting for the person to return from vacation to arrange for my housekeeper to come here.
Now I will have to wait until after Thanksgiving to do so.

Well according to Falkie he should be getting a state paid "caregiver- maid" in the near future. One can only hope that it is either a gay mexican boy or a really hot woman that has a stealing problem.

I have mentioned this before. Vegas is were Falkie should move to. He could rent a room on a monthly basis downtown at one of the cheaper casinos. He would have access to buffets and beautiful women. He wouldn't have to clean his room either. The video content would go way up by just filming the goings on in Vegas. Also now that we have explained the concept of NFL spreads to him I'm confident he could make a bunch of cash just betting on sports.

I dislike the way falkie goes about his life, but watching that trainwreck try to survive in Las Vegas would be worth a watch. How long before Falkie goes broke and has to rely on the city's sewer system for shelter from the elements? Which dumpster will he gorge himself on? What corner will he choose to panhandle?
I would definitely watch that.
