Zimmerman Riots?

That well-known intellectual and political commentator, Kim Kardashian, had this me-too tweet about her view of the horrible, terrible, not so good injustice of America's judicial system:

"My heart goes out to Trayvon Martin’s family & loved ones. Thought & prayers being sent their way #NoJustice"

Kim sorta forgot her father, lawyer Robert Kardashian, was one of the OJ Simpson attorneys who achieved a 100% acquittal for that black man accused of murdering two white people. But remember, it's "#NoJustice" in America for blacks. http://abovethelaw.com/2013/07/nojustice-kim-kardashian-forgets-her-father-represented-o-j-simpson/

Wasn't one of Zimmerman's grandparents black?  Doesn't that make Zimmerman a black white hispanic?
A veritable harlequin black-white-Peruvian American.
I read somewhere that there has been over 200,000 Black on Black murders since the mid 1970's
What I fear the most that all this crap is part of the crises-solution paradigm espoused by these Alinsky-Bolshevik-bastards running the Executive branch of government.
Which brings me to the advert. that agonizes me; "It's Like  Having FLO on your Team" Seeing the word Progressive makes me think about the jar of Ascarius (round worms-parasites)that my high school biology class had it it .

Here's another racist, using protections given to him under the Slaveholder's Friend portion of the Bill Of Rights, who has shot and killed another beautiful teenage boy, and was acquitted of manslaughter. The jury believed his testimony that he confronted several Utes breaking into cars and held them at gunpoint until police could arrive, and shot the deceased when he came at him using threatening language. The family is of course upset, says justice wasn't served, etc. http://rochester.ynn.com/content/top_stories/490926/jury-finds-roderick-scott-not-guilty/

What I don't understand is why the organizers of the Trayvon marches aren't hopping on this killing in Rochester, NY. Heck, the national media has even ignored this. I don't understand...I just don't understand....What could the difference be?.....Justice for Trayvon and Christopher!

Defendant acquitted....

of shooting this Teenager in self-defense.

That was also the time when Ricky and Lucy, despite being married, slept in separate twin beds.

my wife and i still do that.  at my insistence.  i don't need her touching me with her butt and stuff while i sleep.

You may be interested to know Michael Savage thought he was guilty of murder.

i don't think savage truly believes what is coming out of his mouth all the time.  i think he also deliberately takes unexpected positions from time to time just for the purpose of keeping himself "interesting."

If the "leaders" of the black community are so concerned about protecting black kids then please go to the inner cities and protect the scores of black children that are murdered every day (by other blacks).

or protect them from their own fathers who abandon them at a rate of about 70%.  nice.

i took the liberty of adding that last part to your quote.

I hate to disagree with you, but there is absolutely zero chance of that happening. Oh, sure; they`ll give it a bit of lip service ("we`re looking into it") but as I predicted before, there will be no further LEGAL action taken against Mr. Zimmerman. There won`t even be a wrongful death suit. You heard THAT here first.

i agree with this prediction.  100%.   all in.

Anybody else remember when Obama was going to bring us all together?

I think that was his pie-in-the-sky goal.  But I suspect that most every president aims (in a vague and abstract way) for the same thing, don't you?  Do you think Bush (either) said, "Well, I sure hope to alienate half the country during my time in office"?

Name one president who has, indeed, "brought us all together".

I don't think the southerners feared the results of generational dispossession; they had no idea at the time how the descendants of freed slaves would behave. Rather, I believe they knew the character of their charges more thoroughly than either of us might care to understand.

So the slave owners knew their slaves would not be model citizens upon gaining freedom... am I reading your words correctly?  But, but, but, I keep hearing about how the slaves were all happy and sassy and life was great on the ol' plantation!

Hmmm... is it possible that again both sides have their own narratives?

Am I the only one who thinks homophobe(ia) is a misnomer? Phobia is an irrational fear of something isn't it? Or isn't it? Dunno..

yeah, that always struck me as odd, too.

For some reason, whenever I hear the term homophobe, I can't help but hear Sgt. Hulka saying "Lighten up, Francis."

I think if the current administration caves to pressure from NAACP and the like to make a federal case against Zimmerman then you'll see the start of something really bad. By law, he was tried and found not guilty. The DA fucked up. Plain and simple. This reminds me of the case in Durham, NC where a black stripper accused four rich white kids of rape. The DA there threw those four rich white kids under the bus of public opinion but in the end it turns out the stripper was a liar and the DA was just pandering for black votes. In the end the charges were dropped, the rich white kids were exonerated and the DA was disbarred. But I'm sure if you talk to some people they'll tell you those rich white kids were given preferential treatment based on their race and they deserve to be in jail. I think rev al sharpton got involved there too. A common thread? God I hate that asshole. Why does anyone care what he thinks?

you talking about mike nifong?

i don't think the DA fucked up in the zimmerman case.  there simply wasn't a case.

For what it's worth (probably nothing), b_dubb, I also don't like or respect Sharpton (and I am a self-identified progressive).  I think he is an opportunist who loves him camera time.  I think he is a reactionary who does not do nearly enough research prior to reaching conclusions.  Cynic that I am, I think that opportunism taints the intentions of all sorts of protestors, politicians, and "revolutionaries".  I suspect that Sharpton lives a very comfortable lifestyle, stirring the pot of discontent.

I think the term you are looking for is "race hustler."

No, I haven't seen it... I don't mean this in any self-congratulatory, hipper-than-though way, but I disconnected the tube for anything but streaming on-demand content years ago.  (Actually, before my wife and I signed up for the on-demand stuff -- yeah, Eureka and XFiles! -- we went without any TV for several years.  And yet, somehow, life went on....)

There certainly are such people, UFOFill.  I would never deny that.  But I think that opportunists come in all shapes and sizes and stripes -- I think there are race baiters as well as those who see an opportunity to make a buck in denying that race ever enters into the equation.

By the way, what is the equation?  I'm still trying to wrap my pointed little head around E=mc2

my wife and i also have no cable tv.  i think it's fair to say, while your decision to shun TV makes you an elitist hipster douche bag fuck wad, it makes me a practical, thoughtful, technologically advanced brain surgeon.

As opposed to the character of those who did the enslaving? Because let's face it, the slaves all volunteered to be chained into ships with the prospect of death before they reached the promised land where they'd be in abject misery for as long as they lived-often not long. Charges? It makes it seem as if they ran a kindergarten. As for understanding them; I don't doubt it, I bet if we'd been in slavery and had an opportunity to escape it, we'd make damn sure no-one was under no misunderstanding of how pissed we were.

You're projecting. Blacks today are a hell of a lot more pissed about slavery than records show the actual freed slaves were.

Like I said in another thread. I'm not interested in moral arguments. They bore me and go nowhere. I'm interested in cause and effect. It seems that the "social justice" agitators attempts to right past wrongs hurt race relations more than they help.

It makes sense to me. I can't fathom why some become enraged and violent about another's sexual attractions except for some very irrational fear.

I don't think most people labeled homophobes by the PC cathedral are enraged or violent, they simply find the practice distasteful and do not want it affecting their personal lives. This is enough to have one labeled "phobic".

I was questioning the actual word homophobe as a word to mean what it does. I accept that some people don't approve of homosexuality; but why I'm not sure. That someone I know or is related to being homosexual has no bearing on how I feel towards them. If they're unpleasant they're unpleasant, it's probably nothing to do with  their sexual orientation, likewise a heterosexual might be a git, their sexuality has nothing to do with it. I've worked with both, I worked with one gay lad and didn't know he was gay for the first two months of knowing him, and a girl in the office brought it up in conversation (She'd obviously discussed it with him)..It did explain why he was non committal when we were out eating lunch and I was pointing out the girls he ought to be chatting up! I felt a bit bad about that.

Hey, Yorkie... do the English still use the term "bird" to describe a pretty woman?  Or is that a bit like the American "broad" or "dame" -- used only by someone who was young in the 1940's & 50's?  Actually, now that I think about it, Dennis Miller (American comedian/talk show host) still used both terms, but he's going for a Sinatraesque hipster thing.
