Let's get real folks.

Would you truly have wanted to listen to Art become a big time Trump supporter over the course of the last year? Because that's where he was headed. The show would have become more and more political to the point of being a embarrassing to listen to. Luckily we live in the good reality and weren't subjected to that.

I'm not sure he would have embraced Trump on the radio to the extent he has on Facebook. I probably would have been able to ignore whatever he said and continue listening, as long as he didn't dwell too much on the subject.

Art's passion is not politics, so when he talks about that subject, he's just being topical. He's not John Wells, who would just as soon talk politics as talk about ET or the paranormal.

Oh, should we have been so blessed with the pleasing sound of Art's voice through the night at least one more year.  :'(

Well, that meat is just going to rot otherwise....but horseradish?! That sounds like too much horse to me. I've never had horse before (to my knowledge) but I'd think we would want to reduce the horse, not increase it. You probably know better though, gunny. You always do. Now, shall I drop and give you 50?  :)

Stop simpering, boy!  Just drop and give me some!  Too slow.  Do it again.

Vin Scully and Dick Enberg are retiring.  These two truly had broadcasting ''in their blood''

Art's a big sports fan, at least football, I wonder how he would have done in the broadcast booth as either a play-by-play announcer or color analyst.

Isn't Clyde Lewis basically a tumor duct taped to a microphone at this point?
It's easy to see who puts their mouth where the microphone is around here.

Yes, but a tumor sticks around. You know..makes you feel loved. Art is just a fart in the wind.  :'(

Clyde is better than Noory. Some topics he is actually entertaining. His political rants and tendency to repeat himself over and over are super annoying. When he does ghost shows and paranormal those shows are pretty decent. But that, theme music needs to be altered!

I listened to a portion of Art's show earlier while shaving.  It was from October 4, 2002 and it featured a Hollow Earth guy named Dallas Thompson.  Dallas was due to fly up to the North Pole and then down into a hole that would take him to a massive cavern/spiritual world complex.  A caller asked if he (Dallas) was concerned about entering that place where the Russians had lowered the microphone and heard sounds of Hell.  Art was happy to hear that question because it allowed him to play his Hell recording.  Dallas said that he had the recording too and Art almost had a tiff over it, thinking that Dallas took it from him but then Dallas explained that he had got it off some other website.  The guest then went on to explain that there are all manners of spiritual planes down there and yes, certain caverns where it wouldn't be wise to enter.

At one point, Art had some problems getting some answers from his guest and he asked Dallas if his (Art's) producers had contacted him before the show.  Dallas said that he had talked to one.  Art wanted to know who.  His guest said "Lisa."  Art echoed, "Lisa.  Okay."  He then asked his guest another question but before he answered it, Dallas asked, "Lisa isn't going to get in trouble, is she?"  Art answered quickly (and rater imperiously)  "I haven't made that determination yet."

Dallas never made the trip and is now pretty much forgotten.

That's one of my favorite shows. I checked up on Dallas in 2011, 2012, or sometime around that period. he was still trying to get funding for the trip. Apparently, he had multiple backers, that when they were finalizing plans and almost ready to launch the expedition, pulled their funding.
Then again, Michael Mott, author of Caverns, Cauldrons, and Concealed Creatures: A Study of Subterranean Mysteries in History, Folklore, and Myth Had this to say about Dallas Thompson - from the article linked above:
"

What happened to Dallas? Who cares? He plagiarized entire chunks of text from my book-(emphasis mine) - and the books of others, slapped it all together with his drool, and pretended to be a writer and researcher. He was called out on it and had no answers. He violated the copyrights of many genuine writers and researchers. He spun a new-age web of banality, gibberish and regurgitation for as long as he could.

Supposedly he was “born again” as a Christian, but he never told his loyal new-age readers that his “masterpiece” book was plagiarized and slapped together from numerous sources. He’s lucky he didn’t get sued for copyright infringement.

Maybe he did, in fact, fall in a hole. Hopefully he’ll stay there.

"

lol
Dallas did tell a good story though, one of my favorites. :)

Thanks for the cool update, Logan.  I was kind of wondering what happened to the guy.  Yeah, it was fun listening to him talk to Art.  I liked that part where they discussed piloting the special craft and Dallas let it be known that he was legally blind.  lol  You could almost hear Art's chin drop down and hit his desk.

No, you're wrong on this unless you're just another idiot here trying to somehow use Art's support to bash Trump.  Remember all of the shows airing during Art's obsession with Obama?   Because I clearly do.  He still kept the show balanced and palatable, he may have mentioned his political desires and leanings periodically, but it's certainly nothing worth bitching about.  Accusing Art of over-politicizing anything is unfair bullshit.

Having Art on the air for this election would have been awesome.

What's the fucking alternative?  Noory and Wade?  GOD HELP US ALL.

the only problem is in the end..it is just another persons opinion on the election among the billion opinions we are inundated with...at a point people want an escape from that

Guess what? Bobo is back! At least on Yahoo/GMA page read this and see if this sounds like a certain Horse lover we all know.

Here's some words of wisdom for you comment posting idiots. You people think your opinions are so important and that you possess some natural-born expertise. But take it from ME, a REAL expert, when I say your comments are even more stupider than you people making them. Now I have a lot of experience, so when I say something, it counts. That's because I'm very important and I know what I'm talking about, unlike feeble-minded you. I see you want to retort by posting a reply, do you? PSHAW!!! You can't post a reply to me because you're speechless, and you're too AFRAID. Besides, no one wants to hear your stupidness anyway.

Do you know who I am? I have 9 black belts, 15 Masters degrees and a PhD in Arithmetic. That's right, you know I'm way better than you, and my legions of admiring followers will all proudly tell you just how great and awesome I truly am! Have you seen my power level? It's over 9000! You know what that means? It means I have more than 9000 units of POWER. It also puts my total adjusted force rating at 22000! That's more than triple, so you don't want to make me mad, because anger is my middle name, and when I get angry I cause earthquacks as I stomp forth with full power, so beware my indignation.

Remember: He who laughs last, laughs last.
I can see you now, trembling with fear and trepidation as you try to muster the courage to write a reply to my comment. But let's face it, you wouldn't DARE write a reply to my comment because you're all too AFRAID.
Gee Bobo's found a new soapbox to PREECH from! :o ::)

Who in the hell has the time and the money to earn 15 Masters degrees?

Maybe he can't count.

It would be nice to be one of those famous assholes that constantly receives honorary doctorates from prestigious universities.

EDIT: Scott Wolter doesn't count. What a fraud. Google~'Jason Colaveto/Scott Wolter honorary degree.' lol!
