I am legitimately suffering the effects of sleep deprivation thanks to RCH. His "BRRAAAAAP, Bellgab" acknowledgement last night (to Dean Haglund, no less) had me practically in tears I was laughing so hard.

I know, he had me rolling over that one too. That's happened a number of times, I lost it badly when he called the crab on Mars "sordid" the other week ago.

Hoagland's totally worth a listen. He's like a mystifying Jekyll and Hyde in that he can turn off RCH and go into Dick Cavett mode and pull off decent, informed interviews within an entertaining, quirky framework. I don't buy a single theory of Hoagland's, but I wouldn't change a thing about his show.

Dick Cavett mode is a great description, Sci. He definitely has that same quick-thinkingness and, I'm just starting to realize, a fairly decent sense of humor (that perhaps isn't particularly un-Cavett-like).

Could the Hoag be winning over BellGab??

I know, it amazed me too. I was listening to him do an engaged informed interview with Garetano the other night about filmmaking and I'm thinking "This is Hoagland?"
