i think profanity has its place, but not on art's show.  i would be doing constant double takes if i heard people calling in exclaiming "fuck this" or "fuck that".

Yep, although to hardcore Art fans you can tell them but new folks let's wait a bit. According to some recent report your average person, now, has the attention span less than that of a goldfish (though I suspect methodology on determining attention span of a gold-fish but don't have the attention span to read the whole study.)

Well said.  Cussing is a kind of generic shortcut to get a reaction.  Refraining from profanity challenges one to be more articulate and precise in their communications.  Art's great at this.
