Do take care with your language and topics. I've been told that these type of topics scare a number of people; and so should be avoided.

it's my right to have NNS.

Whatever gets you through the night...its alright....

Makes me think of the Elvis song Help me make it through the night, but I should not be talking about uppers and the King of rock 'n roll in the same conversation.

i want to buy one of the governments old missile silo/compound combos that are for sale. plus a reload kit.  8)
Recall the caller that was living in one? Classic Art Bell call. Said, when questioned, on bad rainy days he got a foot of water in it and not having windows wasn't great. But since most was concrete the water issue wasn't a problem (Art mentioned about furniture etc.) When questioned, by Art, what he would do if he opened his doors (described as blast doors) and looked out and saw the world was destroyed the caller replied "ah, I'd say the heck with with and go back inside." It was a short call but a great one! I can't wait for the new show....been eyeing an abandoned railroad tunnel somewhere in the NW on CL, more escape options (two!) and still fortified! ;)

thanks...so ...if I have three structures on my land, and they are enclosed, I officially live in a compound?  who knew.
something like that would do. i have seven separate structures. one even has a small forge/workshop that i like to tinker around in. the largest is the greenhouse. only part of the area is enclosed. i like the view of the woods without the fence.

there is a whole industry that refurbs them. expensive, expensive, expensive. the cost of the silo and land isn't too bad if you shop a bit.

No. Help me make it through the night is a Kris Kristofferson song.

Does a teepee in my garden count? Well it's not so much a teepee but a pink plastic princess castle tent.

A pink princess teepee.  No surprise there.

This sounds like a menu selection at the bunny ranch.  ;)
Or so I'm told.  :-X
The ole'  #7 combo platter! ;D

Alright now!  I'm distressed with all the bad language and talk of compounds folks!  ;)  Remember Waco?  I've been to that compound and it's the last compound I ever wanna see!  (All joking aside, yeah, I was there when that went down believe it or not, they ran the attack on the compound from my college campus's airport.)

I curse my own share of curses, but I agree that it doesn't really ad to a radio show, in fact, it can kinda ruin it.  What passes for "adult" content doesn't seem very adult to me anyways.

About having Moller on, I would say an emphatic Yes!  I'd like to hear from him why things haven't seemed to go any farther along.

Also, the Alcohol Can Be a Gas Blume guy, I love that guy, he's got his shit together and is very deft at answering hard questions.  I've wanted to buy his book and just haven't had the spare cash yet.  Art could interview him much better than snoory.

We will all have to get used to the sleep deprivation caused by inspirational and intelligent late night talk with Art.....may need more coffee

I shall be evolving from borderline insomniac to full-on nocturnal.

I like the idea of buying a county surplus picktruck that also can run on rails and/or one of those hand-pump track carts (when EMP goes off) back and forth to my new, underground Compound. Don't like the silo-style. Rather a mountain above but at least horizontal than a vertical shaft with limited escape and more claustrophobic. Plus use creeks on mountain for local hydro in addition to diesel generator and propane. (Maybe solar but not so much sun and plus that is seen easy from "eyes from above") Options.
Ps; large antennae scheme, though, hidden, to get Art's show in addition to streaming? Can RR tracks be used as an antennae?

Why bother with minefields when you can get an army of Jeebo Jeddai squirrel warriors!  Ever piss off a squirrel?

They like to go right after the nuts.

Yeah, but what about the still active silos?  Where are those at, don't we still have some that are active?

I lived in Tucson for a few years and never got around to visiting, wanted to, just didn't get the chance.  I lived there back during the Rincon Mountains wildfire.  I never would have believed a desert could have a wildfire!

And what about all those BUFFs hanging out waiting to be chopped up?

Well we're not just mercenaries for hire - we fight for honor, and good, and only sometimes for beer.

jazmunda

Someone asked Art on Facebook if he will have a camera in the studio and his response is priceless.

Minuteman are all still active...multiple launch sites with only one LCC...here is a drawing of an old Titan II facility...there is one near me partially escavated! great fun to visit! All of the silos were imploded by the SALT II treaties...but the LCC and tunnels are still there!
