I don't think I am so much of a threat because Dave has taken the show in such a way that is no longer much like I did. For people with long memories you might remember I did a lot of open lines, i did more technical type shows. I did not do Health or many conspiracy type shows. A lot of my people simply left, they will find me in time. Perhaps some who have been frustrated but hung on will switch but there are some I hope stay where they are.

I remember a lot of conspiracy oriented shows.  Especially during the Clinton era. 

While I think there is distinct difference between conspiracy radio of today, and of early C2Cam, I find that many here forget or ignore the distinctly conservative to libertarian bent of that era's shows.

That being said, I don't see a reason to visit much conspiracy material, but I think it could occasionally be a fun topic once in a while and depending on the guest and topic.   Don't shy away from it Art.

Also, the technical shows were always enjoyable.  Depending on the topic, they remain interesting (HAM topics, etc) or fascinating in how they provide a window to our technological evolution.  (I.e the windows 95 release show, Y2K, or the web cam introduction).  They brought out a good side in you not typically seen, and made a lot of people get interested in those topics.

I don't think its a love fest, I just think the people who are on this board are a smart bunch and we share some values. It also helps if you have a somewhat twisted sense of humor and I do, always have. If you have done any amount of reading here you know most are a bit twisted.

I am not fully love worthy myself, I do not try to project a personality that makes you want to hug me at all, I have little patience with foolishness and as a result many of Dave's people think I am mean. I guess if compared, I am. Simply put, we have a lot in common here.

You may not be I don't know, I am certainly a fan.  I don't even like that word 'fan' but anyway I am one.  What you said about Dave's people thinking you are mean, well they only see what they want to see, right? What I see is someone who loves radio, not just being on the air but everything about how radio works, like the physics of it. You inspired a bunch of people to be hams and or just more interested in electronics, including me.

I wasn't the one complaining.  The moonbat that had a post-traumatic episode triggered by the mere mention of Limbaugh (who I dislike for the record) was the person complaining.   This was followed by Scully's accusation that he is a rapist.  While your white knight saviorship is Nobel, it's as selective as the aforementioned loons.  If you have an issue with me, let me know but these two don't need you to stick up for their own words.

Max didn't "make" anyone do anything they didn't agree to in exchange for money.  Consenting adults conducting business is all it is.  If you have proof of anyone underage, I'd be equally glad to see him to time for it.  But right now that seems to be the domain of Bill Clinton's rich buddies.

I think this is one thing most people on bellgab will disagree with you on.  I would much rather have Dave off the radio dial, whether you are competing with him or not.      The best thing for Coast To Coast would be for Dave to be booted and Knapp to be put in his place (aside from you taking it back of course).

I'm selfish... Therefore, I hope that Dave remains on the radio.  I really dislike him- and if Art were not returning, I would be fine if George "faded to black."  However, if he is off the air, suddenly there will be thousands of people who would otherwise be calling into Coast out there looking for another show.  When they find MITD it will be overrun by intellectually stunned callers with no natural curiosity.  What has such potential could be sunk through sheer numbers.

Right now, Art has the licence to take some time and build a show that he enjoys- presumably intelligent (or at least entertaining) guests who will attract those of us who are done with Dave.  With any luck, it will attract the type of callers and listeners that Coast once did. 

Let Dave keep the job- let him put out the rotting filth that attracts the bottom feeders and mouth-breathers and keeps them harmlessly in one place: as far away from the new show as possible.
