It could work but for me The Chase in its original form is Art Bell. I hear it almost daily listening to Art's classic shows and as I don't listen to Dave and the Davebots I don't associate it with that show.

Oh please use your original opener!  I'm surprised this is even an option, figured premrat owned that too. Seesaw is great but nothing sets the mood for your show like The Chase!

Coast is not doomed and I do not wish it to be. There is room for us both. Dave has his listener base and I will find mine which for the most part scattered back into other aspects of life. We do very different types of shows.

The one thing I will react to is if they ever tell Guests that being on my show will not let them be on Coast, that will bring a very quick reaction.

Otherwise I say, live and let live.

Coast is not doomed but I do suspect it will continue to lose listners. But that has nothing to do with Midnight in the desert. Coast has been lossing listners because it runs the same material as other radio shows 24/7. Nothing is different about it now, which is why even the alex jones type listners are tuning out.

I'm generally not a fan of remixes (except a few of Theatre of Tragedy and Ladytron) and I think any remix of The Chase is an atrocity. If it wins in the poll, and I don't see how it could not, I prefer the original version.

I'd prefer "Midnight at the Oasis" best, but of those two I'd have to pick Midnight Express' The Chase especially if you could find an alternate version so Noory and PremRat won't accuse you of stealing back the c2cam opening theme? 

Also how about Ross Mitchell cutting some new voiceovers for the call-in numbers like:
"Wanna take a Midnight Ride with Art Bell?  Call the .... "

Art did used to have some conspiracy stuff but he never went full retard with it (alex jones).  I remember when he was still on Coast and some callers were coming at him with 9/11 conspiracies since George would put that shit on and Art shut that nonsense down right away.  I gained more respect for Art that day which is saying a lot since I already had a lot of respect for him.

I hate Ride my See Saw. The first time I heard it, it was alright, but I can't stand that stupid voice intro - the song is too overplayed as well.
Midnight Express is allright. Maybe you consider alternating the intro music a bit after the first weeks. Would be interesting to be surprised sometimes with a different intro song.

Ride my see saw intro speech actually drives me crazy. Chase is alright.
I wouldn't use either as the motive song anymore, not constantly anyway.
I'd like to see you pick from listener suggestions, maybe make a "Suggest intro songs for MitD" thread here when the show starts.
Could you even play any song you want with your new music-industry deal, or would you have to pay extra for some songs?
