I might blast out further details on Sunday night shortly after 10Pm PT but I am sure many of you will miss it because of the pain in the ass stupid spring forward bull shit. I HATE changing clocks. I have lived in 3rd World country's and even they don't do it. What is wrong with us, we are even stupid enough to change the time every damn Year when this stupid ritual must be undertaken.

Christmas in July!!! 

I have been more of a BellLurker these past few years...my browser bookmark for this forum still says "Coastgab."  But I am still excited to be reading the reactions from this top secret PM.  If it means a possible security breach/Davebot army takedown then I am just as happy not knowing until the official news breaks.

Personally, I am just happy that there will be new Live Art Bell in July to enjoy.  I used to listen to Coast on my headset while stocking grocery shelves about 10 years back.  I actually went so far as to buy Dave's book AND READ IT.  Always preferred the nights Art hosted, especially the open lines, and then later on listened to the FineArt stream every night at bedtime until they shut it down.  It was the archives on that stream which really clued me in to what had been wrong with Coast the whole time I had been listening.

I enjoy reading this forum on a daily basis, especially the ups and downs concerning Art and his returns.  Figured it was time to join in, even if only occasionally.

Daylight Savings sucks so much. Dave should do a show about it.

I personally think time should be adjusted so the sun sets about 9.30pm every day, year round. 

But if all we have is Daylight Savings Time, I'll take it


PS, I'd be happy to come to Art Bell's house twice a year and adjust the clocks..

Imagine in the distant future if the government actually does change "time" for its own purposes.  How would we know this was happening?  Instead of just imagining that 2 am is 3 am, they could actually make 2 am into 3 am. 

Makes one wonder if a government or a powerful group suddenly could manipulate time, what would be the first thing they would likely do?

and how about my vacation homes, fleet of cars, trucks, RV, Boats, etc etc etc... I have to pay a staff'er almost a full day's wages twice a year to change all those damn clocks.

I hate losing the hour now, but love gaining it back in the fall.  That single blissful day just feels natural, staying up or sleeping in that extra leisurely hour.  That's why I'm on the lookout for an earth-like planet out there with a nice civilized 25-hr. day.

And IIRC - from when I lived there - the Eastern part of Indiana where in the Summer there is "fast time . and . slow time".

I've always thought that "Midnight" was both a time, and a place, for Art Bell.  "Midnight" is where Art brought all of us for a thousand sleepless nights as we listened to pilots flying over Area 51, a man with a bottomless "hole", the actual sounds of Hell, and vivid descriptions of the giant Monuments of Mars. 

It has been a while Art, but we're looking forward to returning to... Midnight.

I dont mind the the time change. So long as we all change together. When I was a wee lad in Indiana. We never bothered with changing. So we had to figure out if we were on Chicago time or not so we didnt miss Jerry Springer.
Im also a RABID Bears fan. And it was allways interesting trying to figure what time to leave the house. So we didnt miss the party and kickoff.

I am in Canada, but I agree, people need to take back their land.  Convenience doesn't equate to true comfort or satisfaction with life.

I'm with you Art, and here in Indiana we didn't have DST for the first chunk of my life... and it is a pain in my ass because now they are arguing about which time we should be on eastern like the majority of the state or central time like the northwest/southwest parts. Indiana is also a weird place because you still can't buy beer here on Sunday except at a restaurant.

What would change all this would be civil unrest. Consider tonight you will go to bed and tomorrow you will feel unrest because you will have Lost a hour of sleep. However if people simply started to ignore all the media people who remind you to deal with your clocks the hit to the economy would be staggering as would the hit to your personal economy when you got canned from your job. The resulting disruption would finally wake our leaders up and in a emergency session of congress all this clock insanity would end...now I feel better.
