Art, will Ross Mitchell be doing the liners for the new show. That voice is an important part of the show.

Hearing that Ross Mitchell impersonator do the intro to the SIT shows reminds me of George impersonating Elvis.

Here's a free funny.

Coast to Coast Host George Noory Attempts to Impersonate Elvis and Fails Miserably.

You're welcome.

I Liked that. That sounded pretty good to me....but that's just me..

What if you don't have a point?

Damn... a real head-scratcher, ain't it?
I reckon that leaves the ball in Arts court to deal with.
Thats what make him the pro. And me a zero.

I vote for "Hi, Art" then move on to your point.
At least thats what this ass thinks. Carry on.
The "Roswells Art" got old after the first call imo.

I suspect "our" moods wax and wane the same as when you hear ambulance sirens.

Good to see you got that non-compete agreement taken care of for Art.

Catsmile, you crack me up.  ;D

My (perhaps too subtly worded) question was that if the Noory camp wished to convey a spirit of good will toward Art, why wouldn't they fulfill his previous requests to stop thanking him at the end of every show and stop associating his name with that C2C has become.

Art WAS Coast back when it was something special. Now it is not because the Coast product has declined under Noory + Premiere's watch.

I see. Surely you under stand that it's because it's Coast To Coast AM, and they own it, so they can do what they want to with it? If Art Bell no longer wanted them to associate his name with Coast To Coast AM then that should have been addressed and stipulated in the contracts and negotiations that he and his legal team were in before he agreed with and signed those contracts.

Agreed.
Art wasn't wild about it, but he allowed it for the sake of expediency.
Keeping the show from being derailed, by every other caller gushing about his return.
Endless numbers of people burning the guest and show topic time gushing would have been worse, in short order.

You crack me up!
Wish I though of it. GOOD ONE!

i was going to reply "zing" to something someone else said, then i saw your "zing" which has caused mine to feel flavorless and empty.  so i'll refrain.  this time.

In this world we have to make decisions, are we going to be honorable or a bottom feeder. If you give your word and stand by it you will be a respected man, however if you only do what is good for your self you are then a bottom feeder. No matter what topic Church chooses on his program it now will be tainted. Church wants his listeners to believe him and  respect him, well he just sunk that ship.

I get it we need money to live, but do you get it by selling your soul or do you make do with what you have and your honor.

I will never be rich, because my word means more to me then money. That's just the choice I made in life.

Yeah, yeah, yeah I see and understand what you're saying, but unfortunately souls are bought and sold en masse and in bulk over the reality of concepts and things like "duty" and "honor".

Open your Mind and ...and Open your Soul ...Won't you?  Join us ...Resistance Really is Futile...

I miss when callers would tell him what station they were listening on. And Art would reply "Yooou bet!" Or. "Yes Sir!"
I guess name of our city will have to do.  Haha. Not that anybody knows where Logansport IN is.

You could have used snap, owned, pwned, or boom. Well that's what the kids these days tell me anyways.

He made a point of mentioning that issue when he started at Sirius. Despite the acceptance of profanity on satellite radio he was not going to allow it on his show and I don't have a problem with that.

Many stations will want to. Unfortunately, I think it's more trouble than it's worth. Dealing with an ISDN line, 3-4 or even 5 minute long breaks every 15 minutes or so (Art said the commercial load would be light on the new show) , plus the small stations just don't have the revenue to pay for the content. So why bother? They could cut up shows from the week and maybe replay them on the weekends - that's the only way I see it working.

I agree. Art's commercial lite shows will not fit AM radio schedules. It's not going to happen. We can't have our cake and eat it too.

I haven't listened to even 1 minute of the Snorge for a very long time. ...I'm pretty sure he said 'near' the Pacific Ocean that night.  ...

Ah yes sorry, I've tuned the intro out for so long, I still remember it the old way.  I think it was changed some time ago in response to years of teasing posts here.  It's all part of "being open to tweaking the show".   ::)

He let Michio Kaku slide by with a "God damn" on his first DM show.
It doesn't have to be just about the use of profanity.
Topics can be a little more adult and graphic.
Like when Linda Moldy Cow was more graphic about the cow mutilations than she ever was on C2C, or Dreamland.

that's just common courtesy, though i do find it hard to string more than three words together without a decent f-bomb.
i was not thinking about profanity.

People give LMH a hard time, but I've always enjoyed her appearances and the DM show with her was awesome.  She was in rare form that night, and I think it's because she was so happy being back on with Art.

There were a few DM shows I didn't hear, and that was one of them.  I'm going to have to go back and hear them again, as the pain has now subsided.

Art,

You really need to have Moroder's Chase as your intro song. You need to take it back from C2C and everything else they stole from you.

For those like myself who didn't/don't know the song by name.

I prefer the moody blues intro, its more energetic:

Does anyone recall the terminator themed bumper music that Art had?  I think it was a commercial or parody. Was REALLY COOL!!!
