I find it mildly amusing that Art has completely had it with anything commercial.  It seems to have taken a number of years, attempts and broken promises and now he wants full control.  Church has just jumped from (almost) full creative control to a corporation.  Perhaps after a few decades of broken promises, letdowns and acting like a corporate clown he will realize what he threw away?


Hopefully he enjoys hawking C-A-R-A-N-O-V-A, Giam and Jorch's latest book.  I get the feeling he probably signed a non-compete and will be stuck there for awhile.

As long as coast isn't doing the whole guest poaching and banning guest for going on arts show (ghost buster gals), art shouldn't be concerned with them. Also the ghost buster gals earned the right to be on the new show, regardless of what people think I'd them, they were loyal to art.

I would second this... They were not my favorite guests- but you have to respect them (and even Hoagland) for taking a stance.  As the date for the new show approaches, I would not be surprised to hear Hoagland become a regular on Coast again.  They need something to threaten him with.

I am posting this here because I know you read here by the hour.

You may have noticed that when I made my announcement on FB I did not in ANY
way mention George or even Premiere. That is because I was hoping that I could
put all my efforts into preparing for the show I am going to do. It is not in your
interest to make this a War because as the 500 pound Gorilla in the room any conflict
does not work in your favor at all. I was and still am hoping we can simply both do
what we do and see how it all shakes out.

However, taking Jimmy away from Keith was kind of low brow, having George get on
the air and pretend to "help" me by talking about my return and then playing my now
very old show where I was told to say "George gets it".....well, it just does not seem like a
good start.

Let's start fresh! I will not go after you guy's and you don't go after me. Lets both do what
we do and see how it comes out in the end! I am more then happy to have a smaller, higher
quality show if that's how it plays out.

I will not hit, but I will hit back.

With Art's return, we fellow BG'ers have what we've been looking for.   George Noory's big desire, as far as BG is concerned,  is for the GNS thread to "go away."  I am not proposing that, since I believe in the power and the beauty of free speech, but if George Noory and company would comply with Art's very professional, reasonable, and classy request, the GNS thread should rapidly fade, as far as any new contributions.  With Art's return, I simply could care less about the current C2C, even as an infinite source of humor.  Look what's happening now
AB threads are replacing GNS.  After all, this is BellGab, not NooryGab.

A very big yes to this. Noorygab is what goes on while waiting for the Real Deal to return. If Noory were smart, which he isn't, he'd contemplate the huge slab of luck that fell on him leaving this unknown middle of the night broadcaster with a major show and he'd be grateful.


Instead, he gives a half-assed tribute to Art which was one of his more memorable examples of passive-aggressive damning by faint praise and his overlords put on a show where Art says George 'gets it'. George's chances of ever 'getting it' are exactly the square root of squat which, coincidentally is the amount of thought Art should waste on Lisa Lyons, Tom Danheiser and the suits at PremRat. I was listening to George's call in audience the other night. Light's on, nobody's home. Art can and will do better, much better.


Having said that, Art if you read this, please for the love of all that's holy, have another antichrist call in night. It's been waaaaaay too long.

George sees bells return as a threat. Coast doesn't have the 10-15 millions listners it used to. It's lossing a lot of listeners. bells return is a threat lossing even more listneres makes the show less profitable.

George Noory:  The best fall to sleep material on earth...better than Ambien.  No joke.  Honestly, I have NEVER gotten through a show.  When I first heard him on air after Art I was pretty angry and have never gotten over it...I thought that a show like C2C was able to search the country and come up with somebody that was great...there is a lot of talent out there...I was shocked when I first heard Noory...I remember thinking at the time: "this is it??? this is what we've got??? are you kidding me???"...but, Herbalife has their spokesman and Clear Channel is happy.  Ever wonder where Gaiam TV tapes their show???  I'll bet the farm it's in the Herbalife offices at Nokia Live in downtown Los Angeles.

What they were told was that IF they were on your show on a Monday...we wouldnt have them on immediately thereafter. Some of the guests you selected had already been boooked on coast and once they appeared on your Sirius Show...we moved them. I do believe the twins didnot unedrstand Tommy's discussion with them . As for us popping up on Sirius/XM after you left. As you know we were on XM before your were hired on for years..The channel was discontinued cancelling many shows and we immediately started negotiations to get back on a different channel and would have ended up on the INDY Channel (the one you were on) after your show aired. Once you left, they quickly wrapped up negotiations.

Fyi it wasn't Noory's show that night. Church was hosting and it was to promote the DMRN not sabatoge "his show" in anyway. Keep in mind a DMRN host was hosting the show it made since to promote the network that night.
