I would like to thank George Knapp for the wonderful Interview. Talk about a Pro, that is George Knapp.

Apparently Knapp did an interview with him last night. Does anyone have a link to this? I had no idea it was coming?

I think he was talking about the Television News piece that Knapp did a couple weeks back. Knapp hasn't hosted c2c in a couple weeks now... Noory was on last night.

Art often told of his favorite: a Quarter Pounder  :)

I remember Art saying he loved a good hamburger.

I don't think so. Under that, it says it's being replayed on an XM station.

That doesn't make sense, he must be talking about the tv interview. Unless art tested his equipment out and did an unannounced interview with knapp.

yep and I remember when Major Ed Dames told Art that in the future the only safe food to eat would be a type of green algae that Art replied he would rather die than not be able to eat quarter-pounder real meat hamburgers anymore...  8)

thats what I assumed as well, not a new interview, just thanking Knapp for the one he did a week or so ago for the local Las Vegas TV station.

kingotnw

I assumed the television one at first too, but it would be odd for him to just now say this a week later. Couple that with the person saying it is replayed on XM on a specific station, at a specific time, and it sounded like it was something different. I really don't know. If it turns out it is in fact something new, I would like to hear it.

if it was something new, surely Keith Rowland would post with a link at the arbell.com website like he did for the Knapp TV interview from a week ago.
i wouldn't go by some random commenter about XM he could have just been confused.

My thought was that Art was just testing the water for comments on Knapp, which is what he got -- lots of people saying they'd love to see Knapp as a weekend and/or fill in host.

Has anyone heard any more about whether or not there will actually be weekend shows?

Scully

Oh, ho.  Just read the GNS thread, and It's Over and Campsie were talking about Art's post praising George Knapp that I referenced.  They had the sense to realize it was a sly poke at Noory's Sunday night show which had just happened.

When I copied that late night post, I stopped and calculated when it was written.  Would have been minutes after 2 am Art's time.  Danged if he hadn't just finished listening to Noory!

Mystery solved.  ;)

Anyone have any idea whatr the Cusco song is that starts this part of this broadcast? It starts playing right when you start the Youtube player. I can't seem to find the song, so I really need to know the title...

That's Flying Condor on the Apurimac album.

The guy (or gal?) spammed BellGab a few weeks ago trying to drum up members.  I think MV might have banned him.

It looks beyond quiet.

In preparation for Art's new show, I powered up my old Satellite radios (XM & Sirius) to see if they still functioned. Even though I canceled my subscriptions, to both, more than 6 years ago, I have programming!
I get all the music channels and some talk channels on my XM receiver (not ch.100-105).
On the Sirius receiver, I get some premium channels.
Including:
The Stern channel. 100,101
Art's channel 104 (all I really care about)

My question is;
1) could I have fallen through the cracks here?
A lot has changed since they merged into Sirius/Xm. Maybe when I canceled, they didn't terminate my programming feed, or receiver ID correctly, or it got reactivated somehow.
Or
2)  Could this just be the free month trial?
Maybe because I was a customer once, my receiver ID is still in their system, and the day I turned it on, they detected my active radio ID and it triggered the start of the free trial.
So at some point the display will say  "Call Sirius/xm to activate"
Has this happened to anyone else?

just like the other old c2c forums are, very quiet.
they all have recently added in their name and made a section for Art Bell's Dark Matter - ready to jump ship from c2c.
but bellgab has much more activity than any of those forums and i expect that to continue.
don't need another new fan forum, just use and recommend bellgab/coastgab.  ;D

That's pretty neat, Eddie! I guess only time will tell. Hopefully the signal is there to stay  ;)

As far as the other forum goes, I may check it out from time to time, but my main home will be here at bellgab.

I bought a new car a few months ago.  My 3-month trial was due to be over on July 25th.  Weeks before that, SiriusXM started sending me offers in the mail, and I ignored them.  Well, July 25th has come and gone, and I still have full programming.  I've not paid a penny for it or registered it at all. I'm going to keep milking it while I can and see how long I can go without activating it.  I did activate the internet subscription today though the account linked to my other car.

Spammed. Really? Tried to get members. Really?
How many sticks to the head have you had over the years?

Not once have I submitted a link.
I only mentioned the site one time & that was while replying to another who had posted about it.
Get your facts straight before making accusations.

The truth of the matter (no pun intended) is that no one forum or website will ever be dominate over any topic in today's age.
In the age of social media &social networkingâ€"people do not want to be confined to the cyber walls of one place or feel unnecessarily restricted.
That is why we have a "Friends" section that allows owners of other websites (of all types) that are friendly to our site to create a thread and discuss in any length what they have to offer to those who have joined our site.  No one site gets everything right.
What one person feels is "right" is subjective.

As should be expected for a site less than a month old.
On the bright side in less than a month we had 30 members register and many have posted with 157 messages thus far.
That isn't bad for a forum dedicated to a show that hasn't even started.
The facebook page has over 240 members and many are waiting to register on the forum until the premiere date when we begin offering sirius xm giveaway packages to randomly picked (computer generated) active members who have tossed their name into the giveaway.

On the 14th we are moving to a VPS & possibly a new forum software with a more robust offering of features.

I'm kinda surprised there's no guest list yet on Art's site seeing as how we're nearly there!

I agree.
I've contacted Paul requesting some info.
He told me that he would love to share the info but needed to wait until Keith got the info and placed it on the site.
I know that the GSI will be on the 23rd.

LOL!  Yep, as far as spamming and banning, I had you confused with this guy: http://tinyurl.com/kyr3enw who turned up on the forum about the same time.   My apologies for the mistaken identity.

Now that you've taken the time to provide such an eloquent personal introduction, I trust you'll understand why I'm not rushing to sign up.   Good luck with your endeavors.
