George has confirmed Oates will be back on. George stated art has forgiven oates so he has no problem putting him on.

perhaps a convenient way to justify having him on the show, but I'm not so sure I'd believe Snoory.

I am hoping Art does a secret show next Sunday-one day early.

Oh man, I never thought of this.  I wonder if he will?  Now I'm going to have to tune in on Sunday just to check.

Can someone direct me to the exhibits (A through E) mentioned in the lawsuit.
The link provided in the text is to a nonexistent page on Arts web site.
Has anyone seen these exhibits?
I saw them at the time when they were posted on Art's old website.  I also remember a show Art did where he and his attorney spent an hour or more reviewing Oates's complaint about Art embarrassing him, and having a pretty good laugh at what a doofus Oates was.

The only exhibit I've seen that still exists on the internet is the following one.   Sorry to take up so much space posting the exhibit text, along with the link.   I would post just the link, but it wouldn't be surprising for the document to disappear now.

Here's the link:  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/misc.legal/3-RTEiFY-PQ

On second thought, I've removed the text of the exhibit.   Don't wish to cause any potential problems for MV or this forum.

OK! OK! Snatch his wig then.

MV should use this as the new quote.

"Snatch his wig then."

Not holding a grudge should NOT be confused with forgetting, some things are so horrible they can not be forgotten or forgiven.

This is an interesting take on the Art/Oates fued.

Keep in mind, its posted from a Noory fan, so who knows how much of it is valid.

I wonder if any of the female "sexpots" who are rabid anti George Noory are Melany Gavigan or Naomi Longson, who were instrumental in embarrassing Art Bell enemy David John Oates:

[link to www.pigdog.org]

"A pornographic photo of wild Australian talk show host David Oates has been making the rounds of the web. It has become the centerpiece in a multimillion dollar law suit, and countersuit, between Art Bell and Oates. The issue at hand is, how did this nasty photo get on the web in the first place?

Two versions of the truth seem to be emerging in the Talk Show Wars between Bell and his arch nemesis, David John Oates. Neither side disputes Oates' weakness for Internet chatroom swinging. But, according to Art Bell's lawyer, Gerard Fox, Oates is claiming that Art Bell induced, or hired, two chatroom floozies to take advantage of his horny chatroom habits.

Art and his lawyer spent the better part of an hour of last night's broadcast scoffing at the notion, and Art patently denied ever knowing the two women.

The Oates' version of the story has it that a "pimpdaddy" Art put these two women up to seducing him online, and published damaging things about him to their respective web sites.

Allegedly, Melany Gavigan, a former disgruntled student of Oates' Reverse Speech school, and a rabid Art Bell fan, lured Oates into a session of steamy "cybersex," where he was persuaded to email her a butt naked photograph of himself for her to use. Playing him for a fool, she then posted it to her web site for the world to laugh at, and Art immediately linked his web site to her web site and encouraged his audience to have a good laugh too.

Another former chatroom girlfriend, Naomi Longson, who goes by the name "Skarlet" online, had such an ICQ romance going with Oates that they even met in person. She sent Pigdog a letter saying that she was even Oates' former fiancee, but broke off the engagement because of Oates' strange "world view," and scary circle of friends.

As part of Oates' complaint against Art Bell, he says that Longson accused him of murder in a statement on her web site. But according to her she did not. Instead, she recounts an intimate conversation with Oates' in which he bragged of killing several assassins who were out to get him because of the fact that he knows too much about Reverse Speech.

In the complaint he accuses Naomi Longson of being an agent of Art Bell. Bell denies this, but we wrote to Ms. Lonston to ask her whether there is any truth to the allegation, and so far we have heard nothing back, despite earlier replies from her clarifying her relationship to the case."

[link to www.pigdog.org]

""Reverse Speech" huckster and talk show host David Oates' sputtering career has been utterly rewound by Art Bell. Oates swears in an affidavit -- part of an abortive attempt to get a restraining order against Art Bell -- that Art and his radio network, Jacor, used their combined muscle to intimidate Talk Radio Networks into firing him. He goes on to say that to top it all off, Art posted a link to a disgusting nude photo of Oates, which was placed on the Net by a former chatroom girlfriend.

The affidavit acknowledges that more than one former girlfriend with a grudge has unsavory things to say about the Reverse Speech guru. According to Oates, Art seems to relish in linking to their web sites and their blistering commentary. As preposterous as it may seem, allegedly one girlfriend even accuses him of murder.

Oates says he sought a restraining order because Art makes daily nasty comments about him on both the Art Bell web site and radio show, which are damaging his career. Oates claims that Art is causing him "irreparable emotional, professional, and physical harm." Furthermore, bill collectors are hounding him to the ends of the Earth, because, due to the loss of his talk show, he only makes five percent of his former income and cannot pay his bills.

The court did not agree. His motion was denied, and a copy of it is now on public display on the Art Bell web site.

Check it out yourself"

Get over it, Art Bell retired with his "young" wife, and George Noory is here to sta

The link is now and probably long since been broken.

Anyone know how to use Google's way back machine thing?

as Will Smith's character in Independence Day put it so eloquently ... "Don't star nothing won't be nothing!".  Oates is a real piece of work.  What a douche

Methinks this whole sordid affair is playing square into Dave's sweaty palms... he's evidently trying to create controversy and succeeding in doing so. Frankly I wish he'd just choke on a HOT pizza pocket .... liberally coated with pizza punch.

I can understand why Art didn't post on this thread, and instead posted on George's thread this morning. I apologize for bringing toooo much of the past at once, especially ones that have not been confirmed as truths.

I think he's clearly shown that Oates was wrong beyond all means, but George is even more wrong for shaming Coast and it's audience.

Art knows how to do things right. This is why Art has got such a cult following, and George has such a lynch mob following.

Ok , art says he wants to forget the Oates thing.
Alright noory is a jerk and sucks.

Lets talk about this Mondays show!!!

Any more word on guest?

Still no confirmation on the weekend situation.

I wonder if the first show will be 4 hours?

I think Jonathan reed is the first guest but I could be wrong.

Maybe open lines?? Get all the well wishing over with??

They are holding it close to the vest (which is good)

I haven't listened to Snorty in years, but tuned into his show last night to hear a boring guest talking about Loch Ness. I could only take one segment and at the end of the segment Snorty plays Art Bell type bumper music. What a shmuck.

Hope so.  Art should make it a point to run long and be on for at least the first hour of George's show.

thank goodness intelligence is not dead!! :)

New show idea for Art:  Run a podcast of Noory's previous night's show on-air while Art sits back and critiques every slurred, mispronounced word; factual errors; sloppy interviewing techniques; and general bone-headedness.  Art's laughter would be contagious.

Art is to nice of a guy but i would love if he used Noory's singing as bumper music.

Coast to Coast George Noory singing Elvis live in Toronto

I'm excited and grateful that Art can have so much control with Dark Matter. He could have a 6+ hour long show when ever he desires.

You got that right. By happy accident, I actually have the 17th off and I plan to be listening.

Less than a week now...

At risk of sounding like a broken record what are Arts options for the weekend?

Guest host?

Give the Hours back to Sirius?

Play repeats?

I'd be shocked if they don't go with repeats on the weekend. SiriusXM is going to want as much Art Bell content on the channel as possible, especially to start. After a few months, they'll have a pretty good selection of shows to pick from.

Of course, the wildcard is if Art has someone like George Knapp waiting in the wings to do a weekend slot. I honestly can't see Art trusting anyone other than Knapp with the reins to his show, though.

SaucyRossy

I personally would like a weekend host to keep things going. The weekend is a fun time to listen. Who knows Art could do a Sunday or Saturday here and there and take Mondays etc off. I'm sure it's all up to him and I for one would like a dynamic schedule that can change. Fact is they will be replaying his shows so muh it will be impossible to miss one (plus being able to download them)
