Are you being sarcastic? I didn't read the entire thread.

Morgus asked but I think that was all.

Does Jeorje normally take Mondays off?

George normally takes every night off

Congratulations to Art and 'll be going out to get Sirius real soon. I'm ready for the ride!

I'm incredibly thrilled that Art will be back on radio again, even if it is "satellite" radio that I can barely afford a subscription to.  I will be interested in knowing about those torrent sites, if that ends up being a way to listen to the show.

I'm also eager to hear who the weekend host will be.  I would hope it will be someone Art-approved.  I would suggest Ian Punnett, other than his hearing issues which would take him probably out of the running.  George Knapp, maybe, if he can get out of his 1-2 Sundays a month hosting c2c?

yeah, sorry.  and don't feel bad.  the thread has been plowing through page after page too quickly for a human to keep up.

Note to MV:

When I googled "BellGab.com" it didn't come up.

That's an interesting point.  Weekends are still listed as TBA.

it takes time for google's index to update.  also, bellgab.com still resolves to coastgab.com which is something i will change soon.

How to bypass the restriction for Sirius XM web radio?
You just have to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network). This app allows you to connect to a special server that gives new IP. Once it’s done, you browse behind the identity of the server.

The Sirius website isn’t able to detect the change, your access is granted. However be careful of connecting to a U.S. VPN server, in order to appear as an American user.

That gets around the geo-location ban but how do you get a SiriusXM account without a US address and credit card?

I doubt we'll hear him directly say "Dave Noorie sucks." Even if he thinks it. :)

Yeah, figured it was sarcastic. Don't get me wrong I am thrilled Art is back doing a show, the last time I listened to Coast to Coast was when he retired last time. It's just he's had so many short lived come backs that it is easy for me to imagine him continuing the pattern.

I have no doubt that I will be able to acquire the shows but I am bummed that I will not be able to listen live or interact in real time with the show and it's content. I would also like to attempt to call but I can't do any of that as I cannot listen live from the other side of the world.

I'm a little surprised that Sirius/XM hasn't found a way to stream their service online so that the rest of the world can access their radio shows.  I guess technically that can't be done, or they would have done it by now, but I don't understand why.  Couldn't you load a satellite feed into a computer, and then that computer stream gets fed out onto the www and anyone with access to that site could listen to the stream?

hey, you won't get any argument from me.  a while back i posted that i didn't think any company would even sign art for this very reason.  guess i was wrong.

He might be the ugliest lady in rock n roll, but when I was much younger I still wanted her to have my babies..or was it me having his babies? And Neil Peart's too...Bloody hell was I going to be busy being horizontal one way or another.

Oh Art Bell: Is it only  me that gets the sense this thread seems the day after Christmas day? It's all over for another year? I'm in the UK so I doubt I'll be able to have access, I certainly won't be in a position to pay for it, and not sure I would if I could.

Anyone know anything about the "station" Indie Talk Radio that Art is on?

Here is Indie Talk Radio current lineup: http://www.siriusxm.com/indie

That asshole didnt put me on the air to plug bellgab and "from...george knapp and john b wells, this is dave noorie..." He didnt bother to mention arts name

GSD

Looks like one of my predictions was right, SIRIUS you have re-subscriber!!!!

Glad I was wrong about him co-hosting with Snoory, this is going to be awesome.

In his closing thanks, George most pointedly did NOT mention Art Bell!

It's over!

Ed Dames would be one heck of a first show eh?

Ohh, no.  Ed Dames was easily the most offensive person to appear on Coast, and that might even include Dave Noorie. There was absolutely nothing interesting or entertaining about that person.  Not to mention being a complete fraud and huckster.

Oh Art please find new people to interview - George has ruined so many topics, and nearly all the guests he inherited from you are way overexposed.  In fact the only one I can think of off the top of my head I still want to hear from is LMH

I plan to get the 30 day trial, see what the guests and topics are, and go from there.  I just can't take anymore Hoaxland, Whitley, new age crap, etc, no matter who they are on with

That's not surprising considering he has just announced that he will effectively be working for the opposition.

Disheartened

I guess my feelings reflect my handle.

I am so disappointed that Art chose to go with satellite radio. Many, including me, cannot afford yet another monthly bill.

I wish Art well but for sure he's not going to get the listeners he would have if he went with real radio.

There always has to be a couple people who just dig and dig and dig at them, asking for proof of every little thing, and then blowing them off and acting like they must be liars when they refuse to give you their phone number so you can verify who they are, so you can crawl out of your parent's basement and go tell your mom you yelled at soandso online and it made you feel like a man! Yeah... Go you.  ::)

Now you're a liar. You never asked me for my phone number, I'll give it to you.

Considering I'm older than you (you're a whopping 36), I will ignore your diarrhea of the mouth and commence with my "Art Bell returns!" celebrations.

;D

Relevant to Cumulus.

This is from Astroguy's WND watch blog. It highlights the stupidity of the hard of thinking, who resort to their basic (as in VERY basic) cerebral processing. What is interesting, as Stuart highlights, is even when the facts are presented, the fuckwits (my pronoun) still stick to their primitive need to blame Obama/ gays/ Commies/ Green paint/ stale bread (delete as applicable)..What is really worrying, is they're allowed to breed. But as they have so many hang ups, I would imagine they do it with the lights off, fully clothed and only with a family member who they know well.

I don't know if even this can get me back into satellite radio. I'm going to need some time to weigh the options here.
