Unfortunately there are many who do still use "hater", completely without irony, as adults. They are hopeless douches who should be mercilessly mocked until they melt into long-pig goo.
lol "long pig glue" shit man nice ref.  Long pig is native headhunter cannibal slang for human meat!

I thought it was safe to tune in and right out of the gate he brought up his pizza roll incident once again. I agree, Poor, poor Jorch.   :P

Yes, poor, poor, Jorch.  Tommy needs to take better care of Jorch.  "Jorchy, here, have one of these.  It'll make you feel better.  A nice, hot-from-the-microwave, PIZZA ROLL!  Enjoy!"  ;)

Juan

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Jorch came on the air the night of December 21, admitted that his 8-hours of show prep consisted of playing checkers with Tommy, that he never paid a bit of attention to guests nor read more than the dust jacket on their books, and that the first week he was on the air, he and Tommy came up with 64-questions, printed them out on cards, and that he did the entire show for 10-years simply reading those 64 cards. He then laughs at the Cheap Channel executives, resigns on the air, and he and Tommy walk out of the studio leaving Cheap Channel scrambling to fill the dead air.

Now that's what I'd call Disclosure!

I might be mistaken here but, I'm pretty sure that years ago even when he was going through his retirement that Art Bell said he would be the one doing the Dec 21 2012 show. I know I heard him say that before. Now we don't hear any of that. Unfortunately I think we are going to get stuck with Noory.

Was the phone connection poor yesterday or was it clear that George dumped Sparks?

I would be shocked if Noory gave up his chair for that show.

George is looking forward to that show.  He'll probably have a Round Table' discussion with Jerome Corsi, The Numbers Lady, Catherine A Fitts, maybe Linda and Richard C, Damien Brinkley of course, hopefully the earthquake guy.  He's squirreling away a few mangled puppy and escaped zoo animal stories for the news segment.  If he gets really creative he'll get Ed Dames, Whitley and Ann.

He'll have a paragraph or so to read that will show how little he understands the Mayans and the calendar lore, he'll completely ignore anything we've learned about the Mayans since about 1978, and make a few stupid new-agey comments.

If all goes well, he'll have just enough time to ask each of them how they are and whut'sh nexch for each of them before turning to Lionel and UFO Phil for Spring-Heel-Jack and the closing tune.  George and Tommy will be listening to the last 2 hours across the street at Denny's.

I don't ever recall Art Bell talk about a future Dec 21, 2012 show since his retirement back nearly 10 years ago.
Art however did an extra long show (8 hours) the night of the new millenium (Dec 31,1999 to Jan 1,2000) and he dressed up as the "Millenium Master"  ;D

Noory however at the start of his taking over main hosting duties a decade ago originally planned his retirement date would be Dec 21, 2012.
Unfortunately after getting network contract renewals he figured he could keep the job longer than that and changed to a no pre-determined retirement date.
Several years back Noory started his plan for a special show on Dec 21, 2012 with a bunch of guests he kept adding to the list.
There are so many guests he has added that the show will probably just end up being a guest coming on for a few minutes before he has to go to a different one...

Spark's phone connection was a little sub-par, but still listenable.
Noory seemed to want to dump him quickly and even when the show started in the first hour (an hour before Sparks came on) Noory hinted he may also have open lines tonight and/or a special "surprise"

So it seemed Noory had already before the show setup the special "surprise" fill-in guest Howard Bloom to take over for Sparks and used the phone connection excuse again (studio equipment could have added white noise?) to dump him...

Noory hinted recently that this year for the first time he could be the one hosting the annual New Year's Eve caller predictions shows.
Noory usually took some holiday vacation days at that time in past years.
Of course Art Bell would guest host for the New Years Eve shows until last year when he stopped doing c2c hosting completely, and Ian Punnett did his two disastrous New Year's Eve caller predictions shows.

I'd expect if Noory hosts the New Year's Eve shows he will ruin and change the format just like he did with the annual Ghost-To-Ghost-AM Halloween shows where he added a couple hours of guests instead of callers.  >:(

and we'll hear about ''pizza rolls'' from now through eternity.

I can't tell you how many times I've turned my radio off or changed stations because of the crap just like what happened tonight.   I'm in my mid 50's and have listened to nighttime radio since I was a young boy on the farm.   Of course most of it back then was music - WLS,  WABC,  WCFL,  WSB and so on.   Anyway,  has george ever responded to his critics on a forum?

He has.  He made thinly-disguised appearances in the old Godlike Productions "Noory Sucks" thread from time to time.  There was plenty of speculation on just WHO this character was, but to me it was pretty obvious it was George -- I mean the troll continually referred to George as "Mr. Noory," and how we should all know what a cool and suave guy he is .....  Right.

I'm sure he's been here and in others as well.  Reads 'em for sure, no question about that.

There's no shortage of controversial talkers out there but I've never seen a talk show host that has more strident online critics than George Noory.  Not Limbaugh, not Savage, none of 'em.  It seems, too, that these forums kind of formed organically -- that is, many, many people were thinking the same thing and found a way to get together to commiserate.

I think that unless you're completely clueless, you figure out sooner or later that Noory's a really lousy host -- and a very strange guy.  You find that it's like peeling the proverbial onion -- there's layer upon layer of weirdness to discover... some of it hilarious, some of it lunacy, most of it ridiculous.

I can only take it in very small doses anymore.

Ugh.  Another nail in the coffin.  Coast producers are probably going to solicit email predictions so lazy George won't have to take too many live calls from his main demographic.

He probably figures he "owes" the audience those two days he took off as a result of the great pizza roll burn.

Am I the only one who enjoys Bloom?  A voice of reason is always welcome, in my book.  It's kind of nice to hear snoory's juvenile belief in god (and the callers) being repeatedly smacked down.

I enjoyed Bloom. Noory just couldn't wrap his little mind around the fact that Bloom's an atheist & doesn't buy into these old fairy tales.

Noory blows radio dong so hard I can't stand it. Get this fucktard off the air. I wanna send him a pizza roll basket & hope for the worst... or best.

Noory thinks Bloom is a Catholic.

The topic was good but the delivery of it was poor. George doesn't know how to interview someone who is bringing a complex topic to the show. I laughed when Bloom said George "saved his life" a few years back when he was ill.

Flash Gordon

Is it just me or is Coast turning into a religious program?

Every time I turn it on, Noory is on about God this, end times that....

Look, I don't force my views on God on you, don't do that to me....just keep talking about UFO's and Stonehenge and quit making it out to be that UFO's are a thing of God......

I can't stand how he cuts people off and you know he isn't listening to them...he reminds me of a bad used car salesman.

Lastly, has anyone noticed that the whole Mayan calender thing is really dumb? I mean, it isn't like they took into account daylight savings and leap years.....if that were the case the world would have ended in the 60's....

Ok, I am done for now.

It came back in vogue as an insult against people who weren't fans of Justin Bieber. Noory adopted the slur used by scores of twelve-year-old girls.

John Smith

I didn't mind so-much Jim Sparks interview being cut short. Sparks definitely is a graduate of MSU (Making Shyt Up) IMO. You can tell when a coast guest is a graduate of MSU, they don't respond well to questioning. When they do gather themselves to fake an answer well, it sounds made-up. Listen to the podcast, definit MSU alumni.

I love that skit.  The only difference would be that Noory wouldn't actually listen to the guest and talk about himself as much as possible.

well, okay, i may not check back in for a while, but please let me offer this. phil hendrie doing classic art bell. guranteed you will laugh you asses off. ENJOY:)

Thanks for posting the clip, VP. It's hilarious. The sad thing is that Hoagland and others make Hendrie sound tame by comparison. Think about Hoagland's Old Navy conspiracy theory, for starters.

...And tonight's C2C "Treat" is:

Synchronicities
Date:   12-04-12
Host:   George Noory
Guests:   John St. Augustine
Known as The Voice of Uncommon Sense, producer John St. Augustine will discuss the amazing coincidences and synchronicities that have happened in his career and life including several NDEs, and the supernatural events which paved the way for his life-saving kidney donation to his daughter.

Anybody want to hazard a guess what will be the first comment from Noory?   Not counting any critical updates from his tragic pizza roll encounter.

It seems like he utters his predictable and repetitive catch phrase, at least once, on all of his shows, no matter what the subject is. He may just set a record tonight, "so get ready for that". It was great when Bell said that there *are* coincidences. It was obvious that he directed it at George.

jeffy

So far the only station I'm picking up Clyde Lewis on is WRVA 1140 Richmond, Va.   I get the one hour (midnight to one a.m.) before CTC.  So far I like what I hear... time will tell.    I'm hoping I continue to like it and hope to see/hear the whole show... hoping one of the stations I pick up with a decent signal sign Clyde up.   Just have to wait and see.   I find myself tuning away from CTC more and more.   I can't believe I've hung around this long... I had hopes Premiere would replace Noory.

ziznak

I think I can deal with the first half tonight but that second half is looking pretty unconcious for me.

I'll bet when George adopted his "no coincidences" nonsense he thought to himself that the mantra was a great way to define his character.  I can see him now imagining the way his peers would describe him:

"Ah that George,  the man doesn't believe in chance at all... he's like some sort of "investigatory journalist" meets James Bond type of guy that I don't think the public is really ready for! What an intriguing man!  So determined to find out the truth..."
