Oh, how I long for someone more like Long John Nebel who will occasionally give a guest a hard time.

Love how he used to say things like, "I don't buy it, but it's a great story."
From back in the day, here's my actual membership card to his "Society of 8 Listeners" club. This referred to an old radio thing about there never being more than eight listeners to a late night show at any given time.

So did Longjohn buy Candy's theories of her purported history/targetting or not?

I'm sorry, but I don't get what you're saying.

His wife, and sometimes co-host, was, or claimed, to be a 'targeted individual' and MKUltra (maybe Monarch cause more sex involved?) victim. Candy Jones. Was curious how/if it was resolved in terms of Nebel himself (believe, not believe, leave open? Etc)

Has George mentioned anything at all about Art's terrorist stalker, his decision to quit MITD, or Heather taking over the program?  I listen to maybe 25% of the C2C programs, and even then usually not the full four hours, depending more on the guest/topic than anything else.  I have not heard George address the MITD chicanery, but wonder if he's discussed the subject or if it has been brought up by a caller?

If memory serves me, Candy and John married and shortly thereafter Candy either had bad headaches or could not sleep or some problem.  John knew a person (maybe a psychiatrist) who was also a hypnotist and recommended that she go to see if they could find the cause of the problem that had been plaguing her for quite a while.  That's when it came out that she was being used by a government program.

She owned a modeling agency that necessitated her taking trips to other countries, which is why she thought they used her, to pass messages along.  I believe what happened is that she had gone to a doctor who started a discussion with her concerning her patriotism and she, in the conversation, made positive comments in the regard of being willing to come to the aid of her country, if called upon.

That's when it started.  Yes, sex was involved, which she was very ashamed of.  Not all men took advantage of these zombied out women.  The main thing was that they were carrying messages in a compartmentalized brain.

She did not want to talk about her experiences on the show.  It seemed as though John encouraged her to talk about it and write a book.  I think the author was Keel, the guy who wrote about Mothman or the Jersey Devil.

I believed her.  Some of the women who write books about being used in the programs do not seem too bright or do not have jobs that could be of much use.  Maybe they were just sex objects.  Maybe their brains were fried by what was done to them.  Candy did have a steady head on her shoulders and some sense of her own dignity.

I listen sporadically, as you do.  I've not heard Dave mention it, but that might set things off and why should he say anything when things are going his way?  I listen mostly on the weekends when Dave is gone.

Route 66

A book called "The CIA's Control of Candy Jones,"  by Donald Bain, provides a good overview of the Candy Jones story.

Thank you.  I got the author wrong, maybe some of the details, as well.  It's been a long time.

Noory appears to have finally learned it's best to dummy up about Mr. Bell.  Just do what you do best, Jorch.  Be a dummy.

I try to keep up with Schrader's Darkness Radio and the last mention of Art was their show right after Art quit, just a passing mention about the stalker situation and well wishes with a thanks to Art for inspiring Dave and Tim to start DR a decade ago.

Yeah, I agree with you he's finally learned.  Poor old George can't win, people here bitch no matter what he says or doesn't say where Art is concerned.  Best way to deal with a double standard is to ignore it and get on with your life.  Good for George.  He's a plodder, but I think he's a honest plodder.

Juan Cena

Every time Dave interviews Jerome Corsi, the terrorists win.

Sounds like it's gonna be two hours of Putin-porn tonight.

NoMoreNoory

Dave plays audio of Clinton's coughing fit at her rally today in its entirety, and then proceeds to invite speculation about her health, placing at her at death's door due to her thyroid condition. No editorialising there, then, Dave. And, of course, you don't do politics, do you?
A shame he didn't play, as a point of comparison, the early conclusion of his Shirley MacLaine interview, when she was overtaken by a prolonged coughing fit and given short shrift by a distinctly unsympathetic Dave.

Dateline

To be politically correct and for around fairness a clip needs to be played with Norry sucking and begin to discuss the speculation about how and why he retains hosting.  Then, let the editorializing begin.

A clip of Noory sucking would be an endless loop.

Yes.
A continuous suckback loop.
Quite the phenomenon in radio he is.

Zetaspeak

Did you guys notice yesterday Jorch tried to pronounce Zika Virus a couple of times and didn't come close either time.

Noory was talking about the Alien Snowfest in Big Bear that he will be at along with Stanton Friedman in FEB.  That's right.  He said FEB.  At least he knows his limitations unlike Tricky Dick Hoagland.

Hahaha.  Jorch's favorite month of the year is almost here.

Listening to the Open Lines from last Friday and Norry does seem more upbeat and trying to be engaging with callers. Not gloating but certainly sounds more upbeat. Now, having said that, it means more awkward stuff like trying to give away his unread books (once to a to a blind lady: "uh, you can give them to your friends,") family stories (it is all about him, but some interesting stuff like his son is involved in the 'casino business' in some security aspect,) and that frequent caller, and Raider fan, should have the owner contact Norry because he could help things along to move them to St. Louis. One caller even referenced Bill the AAA and Norry laughed. Also was back to poking fun at Tommy (his chair squeaks etc.)

Yes, and he is also, at times, thanking people for their call which Art used to do.

But one thing I didn't like was he didn't let frequent caller Cornelius, aka Corny, give out the link/website for his request for pardon. Was curious was the incident was.

Yeah, the comment to the blind woman was a classic.
