Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No
Ok those of you who can still tolerate NO-ory..
He said what, two people died in that Russkie plane crash yesterday? Let's see what he says about it tonight since he fell flat on his face. Probably just play avoidance and talk about the hockey team vs. the screwup he did last night on the air.

Tonight's show is about voltage medicine to improve health.  I wonder if they will conduct some voltage on George's head to see if he can be a better host

I fully expect a contingent of $cientologists to call in and talk about the benefits of large quantities of auditing using the E-meter.

I use to write premier when sNoory guest hosted because of his weird christian terrorist agenda.  But they made him host.  I don't know if you remember him as a guest host but he once said he had to keep off the religion topic one time..well then he got the show.  sNoory should get his own Christian call in show on sunday morning and leave coasttocoast to serious modern men.  The callers seem to be all christian doomdayers..though i think christianity is a doomsday cult gone wild...Art use to tell the thumpers not to quote the bible, state their opinion..but now bible thumpers are free to read their mythology smugly like they are scoring intellectual points...and george just agrees like the dufus he is.  Our nightmare continues.......

I remember when he started and I actually thought he was a nice change of pace to Bell once in a while. I was horribly mistaken, although he wasn't really as bad then. I was mostly sick of hearing Bell scream and cheer for the Iraq War while supporting every conspiracy theory regardless of how dumb.

Looking at tonight's lineup, I'd say that first off there will be a general condemnation of the President and what he has done to the economy.  Last 3 hours will be the opthalmologist who now practices alternative medicine of all kinds telling us how standard medical practice is destroying us both personally and as a country.

I can hardly wait ... "Oooooohhh ... shiny!"  ;D

It would be an improvement.  Scientology is like the clown car at the circus - a humorous interlude while the "Christians" and "modern atheists" are running toward a photo finish for winning the "Annoying As Fuck on the Internet" award.  I imagine both sides can kick back and have a laugh at Scientology.

And who doesn't want their own e-meter.  Admit it.

Does anyone know of anything else worth listening to (like Art in the old days) on the Web?
I highly recommend the Kevin Smith show at: http://www.kevinsmithshow.com/  His show is M-F from 10-12 Eastern.  He reminds me somewhat of Art in the good old days and has many of Art's old time regulars as his guests.
You might also like the UFO Paranormal network: http://paranormalradionetwork.org/ They have various shows on each day of the week.

I wish. Turned out to be most of an hour of Catherine Austin Fitts, an hour of Damon Vickers jabbering and making bad jokes about the President's jobs speech, one hour with the voltage medicine guy (under the bus for you!) then an hour about some power outage in San Diego. Welcome to the ADD Radio Network. Any chance someone will be able to make Noory write "I am not a journalist" 100 times on the blacKboard ?

This is a new game they're playing. Switch the guests and confuse the haters. Their webpage was wrong up to at least a half hour before the show.

I am truly pleased with my decision not to give GN even 5 minutes of my time tonight.  :o

I think I love you... that has to be the best thing I have read in quite some time...

I have decided after listening to a bit of the show tonight that I am getting almost as sick of brave George who "is going to stick it out here in the good ol USA no matter how bad things get" as I am of George "I don't believe in coincidences."

Really, there is NOTHING right now for the twit to fear.  I know that he likes to tell us how bad everything will be- but it takes no bravery to declare that you will be "sticking it out" and "riding out the storm" when there is no imminent storm in sight.  His constant chest pounding while playing a hero is truly getting old and not fooling anybody.  No doubt he would be the first one out of Dodge if there really were a problem.  He might stop to pack his hair dye, but I doubt he would be delayed by anything else.

I've not given much thought to the "paid caller" claims made on this forum, but recently, and tonight, I've noticed George is almost obsessed with getting to those calls.  Whether a guest has finished his/her sentience, or fully elaborated on whatever they came to talk about, or just opened a door to a new idea or concept that needs futher probing, George is going to those calls.  With four guest tonight, 30 minutes of "interview", 30 minutes of caller's questions, comments or "stories", I was getting dizzy.  What's going on?  Is he just being lazy (very very probable)?  Or is he being made to do it?  I think it was last week that Ian spoke about a guest that was about to come on and said, "we might take a few calls, if theres time." A slight jab a Noory?  Eh, I'm just a cynical coastgabber.  Catherine Austin Fitts talking way above George's head, Damon Vickers on the wrecked economy, Dr. Jerry Tennant on voltage medicine, and James Chiles on the west coast power outage, with whom George wasted no time throwing doubt on the official story.  Ah, the smell of the birth of a new boring conspiracy in the morning...smells like...whatever.  That "Time after Time" Sinatra bumper sucks, and with most people on the planet unable to use the word "ironic" correctly, what makes George think he can give it a whack....twice?

I think it was last week that Ian spoke about a guest that was about to come on and said, "we might take a few calls, if theres time."

A while back, George Knapp did a show with two UFO researchers (one was Jacques Vallee), and didn't take any calls. I sent him an email that morning thanking him for the show and especially for not taking calls (i.e. not allowing the goobers with their 30-year-old UFO sightings on the air). His reply (that's right, Noory and Ian, it is possible to reply to your email) suggested that he knew exactly why I was thanking him.

I really believe that Noory is so eager to take calls because he doesn't have to think/work during those segments.

Just looked at the upcoming schedule. For the Sunday (9-11) show, there is no George Noory. Instead, guest host John B. Wells will guest host. John B. is, after George Knapp, one of my favorite guest hosts, so I can look forward to the show, instead of shaking my head and thinking "it might not be that bad".

Yeah, I like John B., he`s got that voice. However, my policy is ABN (anybody but Noory)

George doesn't seem to be able to function well even in LA without Tommy there to keep him upright and pointed in the right direction ('thach whut a great producer does').  Look at the disheveled photos of him when he's on the road.  Can't imagine him trying to get by somewhere else.

Having said that, didn't the Noory family flee Lebanon or some place like that when things there turned to shit?  Is George saying he's different and 'made of' better stuff than them 'cause they didn't 'stick it out'?

This is funny. I don't think I know of another site on the web where there is so much criticism of the subject of the site. Usually it is a complaint with the response that if you don't like the show, or whatever, that you should quit listening/watching. In this case it is as close to unanimous as it can get--Noory sucks. The thread is of course titled Noory Sucks..., but it carries over into every other thread. An entire site based on enjoying C2C that has become 99-100% of the opinion that the host is horrible.

I can't believe there are over 300 pages on the Noory Sucks thread. This number is increasing faster and faster too it seems. I spend far more time laughing at the analysis of Noory's ineptness than I do suffering through the show.

Morgus

Noory again appeared on the new Ancient Aliens episode this week, with more of his useless comments as a non-expert talking head.  :o

OK, which one of you miscreants sent Danheiser the phony text message this morning ? The one from "Carrie in Washington" which asked Noory two questions:

'What's the nicest thing you've ever done for another person ?'
'When are we going to hear from Dr. Morgus again ?'

Had Coastgab written all over it. C'mon, guys, you know those two assclowns aren't smart enough to recognize sarcasm or appreciate the absurd. They thought some listener was actually pathetic  ass-kisser enough to ask those questions. Please don't encourage their delusions.

Oh, Noory's reply ? "You don't want to really brag about stuff like that .." then proceeded to do exactly that with a list of generous acts he's performed.

George Noory just gets worse and worse. His decline is only worth paying attention to because we know that the show or radio in general can be better.

George Noory is so awful that he can't even pull decent guests. The guests are atrociously bad. That guy last night reminded me of a crackhead whom I drive by each morning to get to school.

Dream guy David Ruben was a little too overly excited for me at 3 in the morning.  Sort of like Richard Simmons.  Not that theres anything wrong with being Richard Simmons.  During open lines George reminded us to send in our ghost stories for the upcoming Ghost to Ghost.  That's the way it should be done.  I think last year Ian took the calls cold, as I believe Art did on one occasion, and the result was not as good as it should have been.  I thought it was odd that the stories will go to Tom, who will select the ones that will air.  Is George not interested in picking them?  Is he too busy?  If Tom's selection of "text questions" is any indication of his taste, the man hasn't any.  Not that George would do any better, but does he have to have everything laid out in front of him?

George Noory is a very unique phenomenon.  I can't think of another high profile talk show host who is so absolutely unfit to be on the air.  Yeah, many will pop up from time to time, but they usually disappear.  I may not agree, or like, a bunch of folks who have managed to endure, but they can all string together sentences, formulate thoughts somewhat, and generally manage to hold their own.  George flies in the face of all of this, has been on the air for...what...seven years, and threatens to continue "forever".   He just might.  Play the ufo phil song.  He likes it.

Tara

I listen to Noory only about a couple of hours a week.  Last night as he took callers I got to realize that he really is paying for "plant" callers.  There was a guy last night who said he was a trucker.  There was no motor sound in the background and neither Noory or the caller indicated where he was.  Remember in the old days, the trucker would say: "Right now I'm getting out of Dallas and heading to Tulsa, on highway whatever."  This guy just asked his question without the usual hesitancy of someone not used to being on the air.  Too confident for my suspicious ears.  At the end, no request or offer was made to have the trucker blow his semi's horn.  Art loved that.  No, I don't believe the guy was calling from a truck stop.

C2C has to get decent sound effects for their fake callers.

I listened to the show between 1:30am and 1:45am. It's all I could take and it wasn't even Georges fault this time. That guest was all over the place. George asked him about Fatima and he starts in about the Spanish flu popping up one year to the day, how it spread across the globe instantaneously just like consciousness can and on and on. I couldn't follow or figure out what the hell he was getting at. Of course Snoory was no help. He was just letting the guy ramble on.
