George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

I picture a young George Noory, lazy yet clever, upon hearing that most people get by using about 100 words - he races home after school, starts a list of words he knows.

Later, when the list reaches 100, he kicks back and decides he never has to learn the meaning of another word...

That reckless Noory just told his listeners on the air to concentrate on getting a massive deluge over Texas.
He might get a cat 5 hurricane causing even worse destruction...  :o

The subject of the hour is panic attacks.

Do you think that the subject is self-descriptive, i.e. Art Bell returning is subjecting individuals to panic attacks?

Nah!

Yes, they need a flash flood???  Don't worry, Noory has his own private hotline with the big guy upstairs so nothing bad will happen.  :o  Every time he holds these mass consciousness experiments, I remember when Art tried it once or twice and then stopped, for fear of doing exactly what you were talking about.  I think it's simple coincidence if it rains (with George taking credit) but it removes all doubt that he could care less if it causes a drought in some other state and causes floods in Texas.  Children playing with matches comes to mind.

They must have stopped  teaching that right before I started school.  During the news segment George said that NASA will launch a probe tommorrow that is destined for the moon and will arrive there New Years Eve.  Three months to get to the moon?  Is this our moon we're talking about?  The one right there up in the sky?  Three months?  Is it going to walk there?  Cancel our Star Trek future.  We are screwed.
Valdez, you are so good.  Thanks for these jewels.   :)

Is George up to his mass un-consciousness experiments again?  His tiny audience may cause some trailer park on the outskirts of St Louis to have a bit of extra dew on their asphalt tomorrow morning...

The Apollo missions definitely weren't three months one way or two way. IF you needed to get a package to the Moon and fast, NASA was your shipper of choice.  Being a space case I had to check it out.  The shocking news is that he was correct.  The twin probes will reach the Moon around New Year's Day (assuming no interference from Quayle's giants or collisions with space junk).

Here's a snippet from Space.com: "Once launched, the twin probes will embark on a circuitous, 3 1/2-month trip to the moon via the sun-Earth Lagrange Point 1, a gravitationally stable spot between our planet and the sun. This route is energy-efficient and thus helps keep the $496 million mission's costs down, researchers said."

Even lunar orbiters have to pinch pennies and save gas.  I can't wait for Hoaxland and his 'past the orbit of the planet formerly known as Pluto' take on it.  Hyperdimensional physics my ass.  "Standby for that."

Has he ever interrupted a show with 'breaking news', sumpthin' he's seen on TV?

Unfortunately, on the night of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, he threw the scheduled guest under the bus after a half-hour and spent two and a half hours saying "incredible" and "horrific" as he watched CNN. That's Norry's idea of breaking news.

No worries. If those consciousness experiments actually worked, Noory would have exploded years ago.

This morning, Noory had a guy who had written a book (novel) about rogue nuclear weapons (though it sounded like it had a "Left Behind" slant to it - please, C2C producers, enough with the Christian fundamentalists).

Georgie asked the guy THREE TIMES if the 'elite' (Illuminati, whatever) may be amassing nukes to bring down the USA. Once, it would have been just a stupid question. Three times suggests some sort of mental illness.

George asked the audience to conjure up rain for Texas, then brings in Dr. Peter Breggin to discuss panic attacks (yes...self descriptive...especially when he misplaces his index cards), then he practically falls over himself hyping Bob Gleason and his "End of Days" book about terrorist with nukes.  While George did disclose that it was published by the same folks who put out his literary gems, he doesn't let on that Gleason's work is fiction until two hours into the interview.  While that doesn't minimize the importance of a jihad/nuke scenario, we should know from the onset whether its non fiction or a novel.  For the second time this year George wonders if, after having won WWII, we should have nuked "everybody" and dominated the world.  The Noory/Stalin similarities discussed in this forum seem to go beyond the mustache.  There is something seriously wrong with that boy.

One bonus of listening to the other Art shows is that sometimes you get an oppurtunity to listen to some of the original commercial spots Art did. That man could sure do a commercial.
That AssHat Noory on the other hand, whom fking sucks, couldn't sell a box of band-aids to someone bleeding to death.

What's wrong with this picture?: Georges Melies' 1902 fantasy film; A Trip to the Moon (Le Voyage dans la Lune), has very little to do with actual science, although it does contain some similarities with the Apollo missions of the 1960s.

Jay Weidner was on a C2C show during the initial rise of the Tea Party, and he said he's a big fan.  I wonder if this New Age "Pagan" California nut and fruitcake wouldn't be denounced by Tea Party Christian fundies as being a "heretic."  Any wacko New Ager who thinks that the Tea Party would even admit him to their "club" has got to be kidding.  The fundies can be as wacky as New Agers, but at least fundies don't make up their dogma as they go along.

Weidner made this "documentary" which "proves" that Kubrick helped NASA engineer the fake Apollo moon landings.  Now there are a lot of Tea Party conservatives who don't believe in evolution, or global climate change, but Goddammit, they're patriotic enough to take pride in the fact that the moon landings are real.  Weidner, what a f*ck.

bwahahahahahah.  To paraphrase what Stalin said about Molotov and apply it to George: "George has brains all right, but all his brains are stupid brains."  Hahahahahahahahahahahahahah.  Also Stalin was a Georgian, not the Peachtree State, but Soviet Georgia.  Coincidence?  I think NOT!

Nah!

Once again, Georgie's expert on panic attacks is anti-drug.  I had panic attacks the first few months after 9/11 (I live in the DC area and knew people who died at both disaster sites).  I wouldn't have been able to function were it not for Clonopin.  Around Thanksgiving 2011, I was pretty much over it and discontinued the meds.  But I'm glad that they were there for me.  The sick thing about George's anti-drugs for treatment stance is that he and his guests offer nothing but warmed over New Age "positive" thinking in place of the pharmaceuticals.  I'd respect George more if he had on spiritual leaders, Christian Scientists, fundamentalist Christians, Buddhists, Hindi, who could offer advice on healing mental ailments without meds.

Was George serious about this?  If he was, egads.  If he wasn't... well, egads.

There aren't many of them left.  Those who could tell stories about when the world was on fire.  As a kid, I had a rabid fascination with "the big war", and was lucky enough to get a bunch of stories on tape, from relatives who served on subs and B17's, all the way up to interviewing German ace Gunther Rall.  Treasured memories.

Does George EVER challenge a guest? What about disagree? No...he just sits there and says "good point" or "unbelievable" or "interesting" then starts to talk about himself.

Tonight's main guest was billed as an expert in Eastern religion, but turned out to be yet another Christian fundamentalist in quasi-Buddhist sheep's clothing. WTF C2C producers? This guy completely rejects evolution, plate tectonics, global warming and the discovery of planets orbiting other stars, but swallows numerology whole. Where in the hell do they find these people ?

     G. Edward Griffin on the economy.  George then introduced Jeffery Grupp as a "Booty-ist".  Huh?  Really?  Somebody came up with a religion for that?  George then suprises us with the effervescent Lionel Fanthorpe.  I like Lionel.  There's a lot to him, and George just uses him as his story puppet, but why exactly was he on?  Did George dump Grupp?

hey, this Bootyist thing is catchin' on

That was the best part of last night's broadcast, EK--the tragic tone of voice and the breathless description of the outcome: "Only two people died!"

Would that the worst of tragedies all ended with such low numbers.

Frys Girl

That "show" last night was a disgrace. Blatant misinformation and bullshit straight up.

It's easy to say "science and academia are wrong! all wrong! see they do x, y, and z." NO discussion of the important evidence that is the heart of the scientific method.

Even if he disagrees, that asshole last night didn't even cite information.

Coast to Coast AM is an infomercial. That End of Days commercial after the guy was on the show. Damn sad. Radio is dead. George Noory sucks. We need a good night show, and I hope to God Art Bell returns to radio. Internet radio, pigeons, ANYTHING!

Pretty typical Noory.  He gets it right (simple enough to do if you're reading from the wire) -- and then he completely screws it up -- and it doesn't even register.

He sounds like he's just reading news copy -- but it's obvious, too, that he does zero show prep because it seems like he fouls up something during the "news" segment on a nightly basis.   He either mixes up facts or can't pronounce names and places.   Rehearsal or proofreading?  That doesn't mean a thing to Ralph, I guess.  Tommy just hands him the copy and he wings it.

The joke's on us.

Months have turned into years and there is still little worth listening to on C2C unless you are a Snoory fan or 'new-bee'.  I'm betting that is the rationale for keeping Snoory and the pathetic remains that is C2C on the air. Sell advertisers on the huge sucker-is-born every minute woo-woo demographic - take the money and run (large advertiser turnover).

Has anyone ever seen the media kit, ad rates, etc. for C2C versus other shows? Just curious how any products or services are selling through on the show. The Crane Radio guy is obviously grandfathered (who could possibly be buying those antiques at this point?) and the other advertisers would need to be buying time on a per inquiry basis. Wouldn't they? How could anyone justify paying a per spot schedule to reach truck drivers and sleep-deprived wack-a-doodles?

Does anyone know of anything else worth listening to (like Art in the old days) on the Web?

Too bad there is no medication to treat being a moron.  Maybe they could call it "Moronopin" and give snoors a lifetime prescription.  But then what would we all do in our spare time?

What studio could resist plastering that quote on a poster?

Yeah, of course. This is sadly what the show is now. I hadn't listened in about a week, but I turned it on to hear this crap. I didn't even know that there was a conspiracy theory about plate tectonics. Basically he is saying that he is such a genius that he has been able to disprove (without providing evidence) some of the fundamental scientific theories in modern history. Hey, they used to think the earth was flat (mainly because the Church killed people that said otherwise), so all of these must be false too.

I noticed that when they have these piece of crap anti-evolution Bible thumpers on they've had to change their talking points. They used to ramble on about mutations, and completely get basic evolution wrong in their explanation. After that they would say how there has never been an observed example in all of human history of mutation as it occurs. Now that this has happened multiple times in the lab they slyly say that there has never been an observed instance in the natural world. Of course it would be almost impossible to directly observe this in the natural world.

I've never heard a guest point out that there is infinitely more evidence of evolution in both the lab and natural world as there is for Angels. I heard a caller say it once, but he got knocked off the air so quickly for "being rude to the guest" that it was amazing.
