Id like to see John B Wells on saturday night and George Knapp on sunday night, after listening to Hoagland's show today, it seems as if anybody talks to Art Bell, they get black listed by Noory and kicked off of coast.
Id like to see Noory and coast tank, and I think they will.

JBW has his own internet show and it would be my guess that he likes the freedom to say anything he wants and chase any rabbit that looks tasty. I don't see him conforming to a format that is any where near mainstream. I like him for his entertainment value, but I have to skip some of his shows - too Alex Jones-ish at times.

I think George Knapp is content with his part time gigs.  I bet he has a bigger following now than Dave.

Quayle: Think about eating genetically modified food. What does that do to the human genome?

George: Hmmm

Me: Well, Steve, nothing very much. If our genes were in any way influenced by the genetics of what we eat, we'd all be cows by now.

A caller on on last night's show said they were going to commit suicide, and they have trouble finding a relationship, and Jorch recommended that he join Paranormal Date! Sheesh! What a shyster. The guy's thinking about suicide, and all Jorch can think about is trying to milk money out of the guy! What a jerk!

This was awful. I only recently started listening to Coast to Coast, but it didn't take me long to get sick of George. I only listen now when it's a guest I want to hear, which isn't often. I loved how flustered George got when a caller mentioned that Art was taking his spot on their radio station.

I went to Bolivia and met the child I sponsor.  He was there with his mother and tutor.  What a great and rewarding trip, but it can be tough as some kids have major family problems and really gets you down....guess you just help however you can.
Yes.  You cannot adopt all of them.  Makes you appreciate what you've had in a way.  Many of us look back and see failures of our own parents, but most of us have nothing to complain about when you look at some others.

Good for you.  You're a kind person.

We do nothing for children.  There is one person who we help out (not a relative), and her 5 cats.  Then, we have 5 strays that we feed and several bird feeders.  We end up spending a lot through Amazon on these things.  We consider this our family.

One of my favorites from a couple months ago... there was an episode about the Torah Codes which clearly Noory didn't have the slightest understanding of... as a matter of fact, he clearly didn't even know what the "Torah" was...

Paraphrasing... he asked if creation stories in the Torah echoed or mirrored the creation stories in the Bible.

That whole interview was sooooo bad. Worst Noory interview I've ever heard. It was painful to listen to.
Ha-ha-ha!  He didn't?  Smart people know when to keep their mouths shut if they know nothing of a subject, or just interject that you are clueless (if the are honest).

How can he say he's a Christian and not know something so simple?

Maybe the guy really has early onset dementia?  But that, I thought, had you remembering things of the past and not so much of the present?  I think he has some serious problems and should get himself checked out.  Maybe all the sneaky and dumb things he does are the desperate calls for help from a diseased mind.  I'm not kidding.  He should get a checkup.  This sounds serious.

George Noory and Coast are like a disinfactant spray, dispersing those nasty facts so they can no longer infect your brain.

I mean down the road a bit, into a weekend nook and cranny to keep Midnight going 7 nights a week, perhaps?
I'd really like that, and people in other time zones who are listening in ungodly hours would probably appreciate it, too.

Same here, well, sort of, although been listening to C2C for years ...but I am now very selective (as Boy George is a bit of a twit).

I have a new strategy that works wonders, however: I don't listen live, but wait and find the show on YT and then - and this is the best bit - I listen at 1.5x speed! I know, great idea  :)

I can still take everything in, but it means I don't have to waste 3 hour or so. Speedy-up radio recordings rock  ;D

Not just C2C, but I listen to other podcasts and I haven't found one yet that is not improved by speeding it up. It's a revolution in my house (although we now talk kinda fast).

Go on, try it - go to YouTube, pick a show, any show, and listen to it on fast speed mode....

I do this, too, with just about every podcast I listen to. Either 1.2X or 1.5X.

Yyeeaahh, don't like saying this, but I sometimes listen to the Hagmann² Report, and that is one podcast that needs to be listened to at least 1.5x (Joe and Dug speak very slowly - very slightly mentally ill-?).

Anyway, this is the Noory sucks thread, so to earn my crust, I will mention he clearly either slurred or mis-pronounced 17 words in the Paulides interview the other night (even though I was listening at 1.5x, I still heard them all (I can list them but, [sigh] would have to listen again as I was only using tally marks, and, quite frankly, I'm not prepared to do that)).

Never tried that. Interesting idea. I guess one can still understand the information (or is that the point ;) when listening to Norry) but speeding it up doesn't make it come out like an auctioneer?

Welcome, bellalugosi! What a great avatar-less name. I am extending a very special invitation to you to come over to Bella-Haven as soon as Art's show is finished at 3 a.m. for some tasty, LIVE dishing of all things paranormal and weird.

We will make you a nice avatar from our hive-mind backroom workshop! You will laugh, you will gasp, but I guarantee you will not want to listen 1.5x.

Chat and listen to the show here:

http://bellahaven.paranormal.chat

All our archived shows so far are here:

Join us, bellalugosi! We will talk about your name and wish you were here! (Also wish I had thought of it.)

Actually it's okay as long as you're not doing anything else with any real intensity (ie playing Chess 'Titans, Solitaire, Mahjong etc (or Mac OS equivalents)). Definitely requires a bit more concentration I reckon, but it is better than regular speed. Recently I've even found myself playing a podcast and thinking, hey, this doesn't sound right....and then speeding it up - ah that's better  :)

But have you started talking faster because of this listening method!? ;)

From last night's show:
"there was a little baby on the flight between me and Tom who was just crying and crying. I've had children so was immune but Tommy hasn't." (slightly paraphrased from recall) Good Lord. That baby is now going to become a "mean baby" for sure. And how did a "baby" get a seat in the middle of two strangers (and I mean strange) mean on a flight? How did baby fit and aren't babies usually sat with at least one of it's parents? Bizarre. I really feel sorry for the baby; it will now grow up "mean."

As opposed to Noory who grew up "special". As in special ed.

He must not have understood why he was always being called that and probably thought it meant he was extraordinary, hence his entitled and narcissistic attitude today.

Actually, yes. My good lady wife even said so the other day. Solution, I thought, was she should also listen to 'fast radio'  :)

Gawd yes, heard him say and thought wtf! So, Dave and 2t-Tommy are officially an item now -?

You know why it was a mean baby, really?  It separated the compadres.

Anyone, thing, item or animal that does is a mean (fill in the blank.)

It is especially thoughtful when he lustfully looks into the eyes of his beloved and says, I have special needs.  I have been told that since first grade.

I'm just shocked that George, Tommy and a baby can all fit in a row of airline seats. They probably greased that baby up and used a shoe horn to get him into that middle seat.

(edit: oops! I made a mistake in this post)

What I've done is download a show with a downloader, then play it back with VLC player for more precise control. I've breezed through some boring TV shows with that at 2x speed or even a little bit above. It's hillarious, and there is no change in voice pitch, most players end up with the chipmunk effect.

BTW Thanks for mentioning the Youtube speed thing, I wouldn't have checked it otherwise, it didn't work for me for the longest time, it does now.

Izintit?

LOL Good point!  Poor little baby had to tolerate the noxious combination of tumeric,Vaseline, shoe black and body odor. GNS
