George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

Morgus

So vaccination and 9/11 conspiracies this week. How many time can the subject be covered by C2C. At some point you can talk about it to the point there is nothing new to talk about.

Rico999

Typical Dave Noory "news" segment.....says "Europeen" instead of the correct pronunciation...

Then the 5 year old dead from the kite story.  I tell you, this guy really is a sick son of a bitch.   You really wonder what goes on in Dave's mind, because every week or so there's yet another tragic death involving a child  (that you hear nowhere else) and as he would say "it's no coincidence."  He probably hunts these "stories" down himself....

He cracked me up though, telling us he thinks he looks "young."  Right, Dave.  Along with all those supplements, it's that hair dye job that does it -- together with the $200 hipster haircut.   Now you just look like a 64 year old Droopy Dawg with a phony dye job.

The guy's ego is way out of control.

SnapT

Dave talking to guest about an alleged 256-year old man from China's history books.  Dave's elegant question: "Was it controversial about... his length of... birth?"

Then there was a long pause in which he could've corrected himself and said "length of life" but chose not to.  The guest seemed annoyed.

I'm always worried by any health practitioner who seems to know the simple remedy for every possible health issue.  On one hand I want to keep an open mind since I don't have much faith in mainstream doctors either, but still, this guy seems as fishy as an omega-3 supplement.

I tend to gravitate towards the naturopathic approach that claims diet and lifestyle can prevent most chronic disease and was pretty interested in what this guy had to say.  His emphasis on so many eggs every day sounds kind of scary though.

I use Squastache to communigate...

IgNooron recenty replied...

I don't want to go into the details, but I DID catch cancer from the Jorch.  And all he left me was a 1 lb. bag of Toomeric.

I sent him a love-card telling him that his shit wasn't real, he responded with a 12 lb. bag of CARNIVORA...

I feel used...

That idea of AC Clarke that intelligence will win out and it's kind of irrelevant where it comes from, is chilling.

This week in George Noory Tautology Corner:  "Will there be a self-replicating robot that can replicate itself?"

pate

Jorch axes some sort of softball question.

Guest responds: "...Robots have been used in automation..."

Jorch responds with "... Robot compassion..."

Guest (off stage, cue on stage double): {suks Jorch cox}

Have we seen any Styx, or specifically this Styx:

Styx - Mr. Roboto (Music Video)

As bumper music?

One wonders why...  Sekruts!

I have no idea what my feeble XP computer knows, what kinds of sekruts will a future AI-enhanced robot have?

Sigh.

At least George and his callers are on the same wavelength.

pate

George said something about the "new AI" that beat him at chess.  I assume he meant "Deep Blue" like fifteen yars ago... he got beat, in (I give him benefit of doubt) more than four (his move then DB move=1) five moves.  Notice, Jorch just missed "Fool's Mate" by Deep Blue...

Jorch, do you even know how to play chess?  Have you spent the time since you lost to "Deep Blue" playing and learning Chess?

This new AI that Jorch played?  He lost in three moves?

pate

God Bless Robot Radio, here I am at 4+ am listiening to first hour of IgNooron:

Something about "Laurie"  I missed it, I heard it but I am too drunk from hearing it the first (fist?) time...

This guy igNooron drives over his own mistakes, it's like he is the Radio version of the thoughtless RedNeck.  He gives broadcasters and rednecks a bad name.

Jorch?  You reading this?> Do you ever get tired>?  You should, you suck.

I don't exclaim)!( that you suck, because you do suck.  I am amazed.  You as a boredcaster, should not be surprised...

I can't believe nobody mentioned this.  George said about the first guest (almost exact quote):

"We took so many calls about him that it crashed his website"

Whole lotta suckin' going on tonight...

"Tell, me James, your last name rhymes with carrot.  Do you often get mistaken for a carrot?"

"I like carrots, how bout you James?  Ya know who really liked carrots?  The horses on my failed farm in Illinois!"

"That was after I was an errand boy in the navy for 9 years, but before I decided to follow my passion and ruin Art's show."

"So many people signed up for Coast Insider this week that it took down the grid!"

For a nationwide broadcast its seems like a pretty inept staff, like when Tommee was off but his cell phone was locked in his office so they couldnt take text messages?  Nobody has a spare key??  Or were they just afraid of what they would find in there?

Sweet.

This, with the first guest:

Joorch: What proportion of people would you say are walking round with something wrong with them?
Wallach: 100 per cent.
Joorch: That's a lot!

And I hope Steve Jobs' vegan chef was listening. Wallach pretty much accused him of killing Jobs. Did Joorch pick him up on that? Not at all.

either Jorch is afraid of too controversial talk, or he was just asleep at the switch again.
(I did not hear the show, not very interested in health topics.)

Haha yeah I laughed at that too.

I haven't listened to C2C in ages.  I tuned in last night to hear George introduce a caller from "lakeenida"

La Canada!   FFS George, it can't be more than 20 miles from you.

The guest claimed it was consuming too much foods cooked in lots of extra virgin olive oil  that did him in?   :o

never cook with extra virgin olive oil. save it or cold dishes such as salads and dressings. just use regular olive oil, or light tasting olive oil. the taste is no different,so your wasting the high dollar extra virgin stuff for no good reason.

Yeah, cooking with extra virgin olive oil is bad.  It turns it into bad fats - essentially transfatty acids I believe -- which can lead to all sorts of chronic degenerative diseases -- whatever you happen to be suseptable to.  If you want to stir fry with it, keep a little water in the pan to keep the temperatures down to around 100 degrees Celsius.  It can handle that temp.  The best things to fry with are animal fats like butter, or stable tropical vegetable oils like unprocessed coconut oil.  So I was taught many years ago by another naturopath.  The sizzle of oil is just about the most dangerous sound in cooking.  Basically, unsaturated fats shouldn't be exposed to high temperature.

Edit:. To be honest, I'm not certain it's specifically transfats that the heated oil turns into...  Will have to reread the material on it.
